En este especial vamos a hablar de los nios de la calle.

Los nios de la calle son nios que estn destinados a vivir en la calle por diversasrazones. Estos nios sufren de violaciones de la mayora de sus derechos. Muchos deestos pequeos viven en la miseria. Se podra decir que el principal problema de estosnios es la falta de afecto que reciben.Hay dos tipos de nios de la calle. Los nios de la calle, y los nios en las calles

los nios de la calle, son los que duermen en ella y pasar todo el da pidiendo limosna,lavando carros o haciendo cualquier otro trabajo que puedan encontrar. Estos niosestn generalmente solos, y no tienen un hogar para vivir y esto los hace msvulnerables a este peligro.

y los nios en la calle?

Los nios en la calle son aquellos que no viven en la calle, pero que pasan la mayorparte del tiempo en ella. Estos nios piden dinero o venden productos a todo tipo decarros que se detienen en el semforo. Por la noche regresan a sus hogares.

hola, bueno, yo les voy a contar un poco sobre la pobreza en Colombia y en el mundoEn Colombia el 44% de los nios se encuentran en buen estado econmico.

41% de los nios, eso es 7,5 millones, viven en la pobreza.El 15%, que es de 3 millones viven en extrema pobreza, como los nios en las calle.

F: En el mundo el 15% de los nios que viven en la calle son menores de 8 aos deedad, el 50% tienen entre 8 a 14 aos y 35% entre 15 y 18. la edad promedio es de 9

aos.

Usted, cree que en la calle existen mas nios que nias?

17% de los nios de la calle son nias, ya que pueden utilizar el trabajo domstico o laprostitucin. Mientras que el 83% son nios, esto es debido a que son ms capaces desobrevivir en las calles.

60% de los nios en la calle estn ah porque no tenan eleccin, esto significa que han

sido abandonados por sus padres o hurfanos. Mientras que el 40% estn ahvoluntariamente, ya que han abandonado sus hogares pensando que hay una vida mejoren las calles.

Hola.Algo que considero importante es decirles cual es el efecto que tienen estos pequeos enla sociedad, porque muchos de nosotros vemos a los nios de la calle como un estorbo,creemos que estn hay sin ningn propsito en particular. Pero los nios de la calleafectan nuestra sociedad de muchas maneras. Por ejemplo: la inseguridad, ya que lamayora de los nios que viven en las calles se dedican a pequeos hurtos para podervivir, es decir son delincuentes. Esto aumenta significativamente la seguridad de nuestraciudad.Los nios de la calle tambin influyen en el narco-trfico, ya sea consumiendo ovendiendo droga. Todo es un ciclo, si se consume ms, se produce ms. De esta manerael narco-trafico crece, y con el se vuelven esclavos del vicio.

Bueno, gracias por todo, pero antes de que te vallas me parece importante que noscuentes cual es nuestra responsabilidad como ciudadanos, me gustara preguntarle a una

persona del publico, cual cree usted que es nuestra responsabilidad como ciudadanos?

F: Nosotros, como los ciudadanos deberan tomar la iniciativa para crear lugares derefugio para estos nios, y as ellos no tienen que sufrir los peligros de la callela forma de ayudar no darles dinero a los nios, sino a las entidades que ayudan con este

problema, no necesariamente lo que no necesitemos, pero compartir un poco de lo

nuestro con estos nios que no tienen nada.

Ahora vamos a llamar a Federico, nuestro primer especialista invitado, que nos va darun poco mas de informacin.

Hace ms de 30 aos el problema de los nios de la calle no era un problema importantepara la sociedad. Se crea que los sacerdotes y monjas eran los que debian asumir laresponsabilidad sobre ellos.

f: hoy hay ms responsabilidad social. La gente est ms informada sobre el asunto. Yano es la responsabilidad del gobierno o la religin, sino de todos los colombianos.

Las entidades que ayudan a los nios desplazados se han ido ampliando. Sin embargoesto no es suficiente, es necesario crear ms conciencia en nuestra sociedad. Todos

tenemos que poner nuestro grano de arena. Todo el mundo puede aportar algo.

Queremos contarles sobre las 2 campaas que hicimos.

La primera fue un JEANS DA. Donde cada nio aport $2000 , fueronexactamente 327 nios los que ayudaron con esta causa.

La otra campaa esta a su derecha, s, esta caja que ustedes ven ah es paraque aporten la cantidad que quieran de dinero.

El dinero recaudado fue destinado a una fundacin que lleva los nios de la calle y losrehabilita. La otra campaa que estamos haciendo es ir a un lugar llamado BosconiaMarcelino, el cual es una fundacin que ayuda con esta causa. Vamos a pasar una tardecon ellos, hacer actividades divertidas, y pasar un buen rato olvidando nuestrasdiferencias.

In this special we will be talking about street children.

l: Street children are children who are destined to live on the street for various reasons.These children suffer from violations of most of their rights. Many of these little kidsare living in acute poverty. The main problem of these children is the lack of affectionthey receive.There are two types of street children. The children ofthe streets, and the children in thestreets

the children ofthe street, are those who are sleeping in the streets and spend all daybegging, washing cars or doing any other job they can find. These children are oftenalone, and do not have a home to live in. This makes them more vulnerable to dangerand often more aggressive.

and what about the children in the streets?

Children in the street are those not living on the street, but who spend most of their timeon it. These children are asking for money or selling all kind of products to cars thatstop at the traffic lights. At night they return to their homes.

hello, well im going to tell you a little bit about the poverty in Colombia and in theworld

In Colombia 44% of children live well or with the basic needs.41% of children, thats 7.5 million, live in poverty.and 15%,which is 3 million, live in acute poverty, like the children in the streets.

you, yes you, do you think that there are more girls than boys in the streets?

Actualy the 17% of street children are girls, because they can do domestic work orprostitution. While 83% are boys, this is because they are better able to survive on thestreets.

In the world 15% of the kids who live in the street are younger than 8 years old, 50%are between 8 to 14 years and 35% between 15 and 18. the average age is 9 years.

60% of children in the street are there because they had no choice, this means that theyhave been abandoned by their parents or orphaned. While 40% are there voluntarily,

because they have left their homes thinking that there's a better life on the streets.Well that was all the information I can tell you.

hi.Something I find important is telling you what effects street children have on society.Many of us look at street children as a nuisance. We believe that they are there for no

particular purpose, but Street children affect our society in many ways. For example:Insecurity, since the majority of children living on the streets engaged in theft in orderto live, so they become criminals. This significantly increases the insecurity of our city.Street children also influence drug trafficking, either by selling or consuming drugs.Everything is a cycle, if you consume more, produce more. In this way the drug trafficgrows, and with the makes them slaves of vice.

responsability as citizens, but lets ask somebody of the audience: hey you! what do youthink is our responsability as citizens?

actualy we should take the initiative to create foundations for these children who are orwhere in the streets, so that they do not suffer the dangers. The best way of helpingthem is not giving them money, but to the foundations, not necessarily what we dontwant, but share a little bit of what we have with these children.

Thanks laura, well More than 30 years the problem of street children was not a majorproblem for society. It was believed that the priests and nuns were the ones who shouldtake responsibility for them.

today there are more social responsibility. People are more informed about the matter. Itis no longer the responsibility of government or religion, but of all Colombians.

The entities that help displaced children have been expanded, however this is notenough, need to create more awareness in our society, we all have to put our grain ofsand.

Everyone can contribute with something. We want to tell you about the 2 campaignswe are doing.

The first is doing a JEANS DAY. Exactly 327 kids in school help with $2000. We wentto Bosconia marcelino a gave the money to the kids.
