1. Why are you seeking the endorsement from Stonewall Democrats of Dallas?

The better question is why wouldnt I? I am seeking the endorsement from Stonewallbecause I beliee Stonewall !lays an integral !art in the !olitical !rocess in Dallas"ounty. I su!!ort Stonewalls !osition regarding equality and the adancement ofequal rights for all !eo!le and o!ine that understanding who !artici!ates and why isim!ortant in determining who has a oice in !olitics. Stonewall has a oice. I thinkStonewall recogni#es this and the im!lications of these inequalities and I salute thee$orts to equali#e the !rocess.

election?

I will make the &nancial commitment requested as well work on the ground to

ensure we get the otes out.

3nfortunately- I hae a ery small sta$ with limited hiring ca!abilities. 4oweer I

will absolutely maintain a friendly enironment for 02T sta$.

5. Would you be willing to a!!oint a liaison to meet with the 02T community on an

6. 3nderstanding that administratie matters can take u! a signi&cant !ercentage of

your work day- what are some ideas for !olicies or !rocedures that you think you

can im!roe court o!erations for the court which you are seeking o7ce? What are

the most im!ortant !olicies or !rocedures you8e identi&ed as needing

im!roement?

Since taking o7ce in %91%- I hae im!lemented !olicies and !rocedures that ensure

the 16%nd "iil District "ourt is one in which any !erson who enters is shown

res!ect- !rofessionalism and more im!ortantly :ustice in all matters. There is

always room for im!roement- but I beliee in this area the 16%ndis on to! of the

game and I lead by e;am!le eery day and require the same of my sta$.

To the e;tent !ossible- I would reliee that !erson from that assignment and re!lace

himher with someone who can and will !erform the :ob. If the requirements of the

:ob are such that I cannot reasonably accommodate their religious beliefs without

iolating the law- then I would look for other o!tions- including !ossible

reassignment.
