Ⅰ. Status and function

This is the first period in unit3 How do you get to school? in Grade7.The material is about how you get to school as the central topic and around traffic ways to begin. The content of this period is to learn to talk about how to get to places and use the verb phrases correctly. It’s related to our daily life. So it’s helpful for students to learn and grasp, and activate students to communicate in English in their daily life.

1). Enable students to learn and grasp the new words: bus, bike, subway, train, take, ride, walk, get to .2). Enable students to learn and master the key sentences: How do you get to school? I ride a bike /walk/take the train. (bus, subway) How does he/she get to school? He/ She rides a bike/walks/takes the train.(bus, subway) Do you walk to school? No, I don’t. I take the bus. Does he/she ride a bike to school? No, he/she doesn’t. He/ She walks.3). Make students learn to talk about how to get to places.

As we know, most of the students don’t often open their mouths to communicate with others because of being afraid of making mistakes, so it’s important to attract students’ attention and arouse students’ learning emotion. That’s why I use those teaching methods that I talked about in part 2.And I’ll let students pass “Observation-Imitation-Practice” to study.
