4. 70 HANSON LANE GARDEN DESIGNThis work is one of the garden designs that I did for this company. The main idea of this design is to soft the edges of hard paving inthis garden by using Africa lily. The terraces and steps in the backyard is going to create a vertical change and provide more rest areafor people just like the timber seat under the big tree. At the time, the aim is also to keep the low maintenance of the garden for theowners, which can present the idea of low cordon, green, and affordable houses.

Through adopting the design method with the perfect combination of regulations and nature, both squares have formed a style variation of nature-regulation-nature-regulation under the integrated environment of coast garden. The changes of viewing angles from look-up, horizontal look, and look down caused from different landscapes within the square have greatly enhanced the entire level of richness of Coast Park.(3). The lakeshore of freshwater lake adopts the forms of ecology, environmental protection and nature.(4). The man-made lakebed adopts flexible materials, which has not only meets the requirements of waterproof and seepage-proofing but also solves the problem of biological cycle, highlighting the ecological environmental protection and creating a natural affiliating coast landscape.

Qinhuangdao Jinmeng Gulf Landscape DesignLandscape professional Design:1. Site Descrition Located in Haigang District Qinhuangdao City and shaped long with narrowed in west and widened in east, Jinmeng Gulf Landscape Project ranges Wenjing Road in the east, North to Olympic Sports Center, West to Shandong Bao Bridge, with a coastline of about 3000 meters, coverage of about 320,000 square meters and a relatively flat terrain, its height’s varying between 0.8 meters and 3.0 meters. Near the external road is vegetable layer, south the sand land, north the residential area, villa, hotel and conference center. There are three land utility methods within landscape project design, namely public activity space, beach sand and forest, road and parking lot.

2. Main Landscape Sector Design(1). Considering the entire design, we try to increase visitors’ enjoyment of beauty through creating a variation of space by weaving shifty sights with the advantage of perfect and soft line of the sea. (2). Sand area is a natural sight within the design sector, whether from the Jinmengge ahead of the beach or the relevant architecture at the North parts. Wooden plank and pedestrian street makes great convenience for the conjecton system between coast sand and road, rearranges the sand plant ecology, enriches the experience of the visitors and protecs the ecological system. (3). These principles emphasize on the advanced system that the pedestrian and vehicle transportation enhances flow direction and transportation methods and on the development characteristic of purposiveness and pedestrian-oriented. (4). On the vertical design, we mainly adopt gentle slope layout design, surface drainage, which is extremely ecological and environment-protecting. (5).Considering that the transport organization as an internal framework within the design sector, we try to cater the special needs of visitors, organizing efficiently entrance space, entertainment space, sports space, transportation space, and sighting space to make the perfect combination of landscape and functions and create a environmentally beautiful road transportation system. Planting design mainly highlights the unique landscape characteristics of coasline vegetation, planting the local trees and adopting the advantageous species. From the angle of landscape, we add certain colorful seeds of trees and enriching the hue changes. Road green design endeavors to be simple and generous. The green planting along the seaside mainly display the natural growth method. (6). Public facility architecture adopts the standard construction of sand beach sights. One floor is more convenient. The architecture height and the number of floors serve the landscape needs of the theme and naming function.

Design diea: I try to fully display the ancient city culture, adopting the integration design method of regulations and nature to create the rich and subtle landscape sights with a vivid display of rich and various changes of decoration and planting methods, causing an effect of variation of space through a variety methods of open, closed and semi-closed. By means of deformation of land shape and planting design, we make the walls between shadows. Besides, on one roadside, I make the green land a quiet space with landscape and planting as a protective umbrella. The partial vertical arrangement makes a visual variation of ups and downs to cause a rich effect of oriental look.

My hand-painted works of landscape program

All artistic works need creativity and creative ideas. Environmental art design is also based on artistic method. Artistic thinking is the necessary condition for artistic design. Creativity is the centre of all the artistic work. In the process of design, hand drawing is a direct demonstration for design creativity and artistic thinking. It is well-known that at the beginning of an environmental project, the designer’s inspiration, artistic feeling is all recorded through designer’s hand. Hand drawing is a process to solve design problems. In the design, many things such as idea, freehand brushwork and taste, especially the sentimental elements can not be shown in computer. I think, hand drawing can reflect more of a designer’s artistic thinking and aesthetic judgment. Meanwhile hand drawing process can widen one’s thinking space and inspire the designer’s creativity and imagination. Thus hand drawing is more flexible and free. As far as design is concerned, hand drawing is not simply a rational method, but rather a perceptual reflection of a designer’s personal feeling elements and aesthetic quality.

The followings are my hand drawing works:
