CONTAINERIZED WASTEVAC SERVICE USED OIL RECOVERY

The Safety-Kleen FleetWaste comes in many forms and Safety-Kleen always has the right equipment for the job. We maintain a fl eet of over 2,900 service vehicles and more than 1000 rail cars that provide waste recovery service throughout most of North America.

Vac Service makes quick work of used coolants, lubricants and oily water. Through our industry-leading service, Safety-Kleen’s fl eet of high-powered vacuum trucks will pump out liquid, sludge and solids at your facilities, while ensuring proper disposal of your waste. We offer regularly-scheduled service that you can rely on, as well as unscheduled and emergency services for those unexpected events.

Used Oil Recovery is part of a larger closed-loop recycling program.We’re pioneers in the technology of used oil re-refi ning. Our re-refi ning process removes contaminants and impurities from the oil and leaves it as clean as the day it was fi rst refi ned. This process requires 85% less energy than it takes to produce oil from virgin crude.

Safety-Kleen closed-loop recycling.The infi nite pipeline.

Closed-loop recycling is the most environmentally-responsible way to deal with your waste. The used motor oil, coolants and solvents we recover from you are re-refi ned back to their original quality. This requires substantially less energy than the original refi ning process and produces much less Greenhouse Gas (GHG), especially when compared to alternate disposal methods, like burning. The re-refi ned products are then resold and re-used, closing the loop, starting the cycle all over again, and creating an infi nite pipeline.

Closed-LoopRecycling

Used motor oil, coolants and solvents are collected from the customer through one of our 152 branch locations.

Waste fl uids are analyzed to determine usefulness and routed to one of our 3 re-refi neries or 9 recycling centers.

Waste is re-refi ned into new materials, like base oils and lubricants, solvents and ethylene glycol.

Safety-Kleen Re-Refi ningLast year, we collected 217,186,238 gallons of used oil and re-refi ned it into 159,000,000 gallons of base oil.

Ethylene glycol is blended with additives to formulate our Khameleon® brand of antifreeze/coolant.

Base oils and lubricants are blended to make new products like our EcoPower® brand of re-refi ned motor oil.

Solvents are re-refi ned and redistributed to our branches to refi ll parts cleaning equipment.
