Straight Flush Vacuum Evacuation System A dry mounted MPTK pump is placed in a waterproof well outside the stable and via a pipe system connected to each slurry compartment. With the pump running, a vacuum is created in the pipe system – the vacuum improves the evacuation of the slurry that is pumped directly to the storage tank.

High pressure pumps are available in case the storage tank is far away or if the height difference exceeds 20 m.

Mixing and Pumping of Pig FeedWhen animal by-products are used for pig feeding, it needs preparation in terms of chopping and mixing.

The animal by-products, such as bread, brewers grains, etc., must be homogenous before being fed to the pigs.The preparation can take place in a tank equipped with a submersible mixer and pump. Due to the corrosive characteristics of the mixed feed, stainless material is recommended.

Reception Pit & Back FlushingSlurry floats by itself to the reception pit or to a cross channel connected to the reception pit.The cross channel is effectively emptied by means of a back flushing system. Slurry is pumped from the reception pit to the beginning of the cross channel by means of a Landia submersible- or long shaft pump. The same pump is later used for pumping to the storage tank.

Landia offers three different solutions for the reception pit:• Submersible mixer and submersible pump• Submersible mixer and long shaft pump• Long shaft pump with optional mixing equipment

Landia offers automated solutions controlled by PLCs. This not alone saves on man hours but also on maintenance costs since the mixers and pumps never operate longer than necessary.High pressure pumps are available in case the storage tank is far away or if the height difference exceeds 20 m.

Mixing of Storage TankBefore starting to empty the storage tank it is important that the slurry is well mixed – in a homogenous condition.A submersible mixer installed inside the tank is the ideal solution ensuring sufficient mixing capacity whenever needed.The mixer is either manually or automatically operated and can be installed in both open- and covered tanks.Of course Landia also has suitable pumps for emptying of the storage tank.

Reception Pit & Back Flushing

Submersible Chopper Pump Type: DG

The pump is submerged into the slurry and is used for pumping to storage tanks, back flushing and optionally also mixing.All Landia DG pumps are equipped with the unique “knife system” for cutting solids and hence preventing clogging of pump and pipe system.A wide range of standard and customised installation equipment, pipe systems, hose connections and lifting devices are available.

Slurry Pump for Dry InstallationType: MPTK

The MPTK pump is for in-line installation outdoor or in a dry pit and can handle slurry with a high concentration of solids.The MPTK pump can be equipped with the unique “knife system” for cutting solids and hence preventing clogging of pump and pipe system.We offer individual pump solutions with a choice of different flanges and connections for steel as well as PVC pipes.

Long ShaftSlurry PumpType: MPG or TPG

The MPG & TPG pump can pump slurry with a high concentration of solids – significantly more than the “average” slurry pump. The pump design is unique with pump suction from the top and the special auger. All Landia MPG & TPG pumps are equipped with the unique “knife system” for cutting solids and hence preventing clogging of pump and pipe system. We offer individual pump solutions with a choice of different options such as fixed- or adjustable mixing nozzles, two-way valves, transfer pipe and pump length up to 5.4 m.

Submersible Propeller Mixer Type: POP

The POP mixer is suitable for various mixing applications in all types of slurry and most types of tanks.The unique 3-blade propeller design offers outstanding mixing performance - even in thick slurry.An extensive range of installation equipment is available both in hot dip galvanized steel as well as stainless steel.
