The technology of Etched Foil is also adapted to bain marie applications, thus permitting to sensibly reduce the costs thanks to a quick, easy and safe installation. This special heaters is formed by a resistive circuit, generally made of Nickel-Chromium alloys, combined with an insulating silicone support. The heating layout, obtained, first, through a silk-screen printing and, then, through chemical etching, is protected by a second layer of dielectric material intended to guarantee its insulation and use. The resulting sandwich is equipped with an adhesive on one surface in order to make its final application easier. All the constituent materials (supports, circuit foil, adhesive, etc.) are selected on the basis of specific criteria of use such as maximum operating temperature, required flexibility, thickness, gas and/or liquid resistance, cost, etc.
