We have entered the final year of our Rise Again Capital Campaign, which ends December 31, 2020. It is with deep appreciation that we acknowledge those that will have com-pleted their pledges by that date. Your generous gifts have been made with a great deal of sacrifice. As initially promised by CCS, our fundraising company, pledges of $12,000 and up would be entitled to have their name included on a wall outside the church to recognize their gift. All eligible pledges must be completed by the end of this year to be included on this naming wall. If you have a $12,000+ pledge, you will soon be receiving a phone call regarding your naming opportunity desires. You can still order a brick to commemorate your family, your ministry, a loved one, a baptism, com-munion, confirmation, graduation, wedding, or anniversary. Order forms are available on the church website. We have 1 order now, but need at least 15 orders for the bricks to be installed. We ask that you DO NOT include a check with your order. For regular offertory collections, click on the Ways to Give tab; click the Online Giving link. This will take you to the online donation page. Create a profile and follow the directions to designate how much you wish to give to each fund and how often. To donate to the Rise Again Campaign, go back to St. John Vianney’s Home page, click on the Donate em-blem under the We Will Rise Again! header. You will be redirected to the Rebuild SJV On-line giving page. Follow the directions to create a pledge and new profile. You can use the same user name and email for both the regular offertory and Rise Again pages.

My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things and I desire to receive You into my soul. Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart. I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. A Letter from the Archdiocese dated July 4, 2020

As we continue to live in these unprecedented times, we are faced with the task of making accommodations to ensure the health and well-being of our brothers and sisters. Thank you for the care and thought many have put together to reo-pen their parish churches for the celebration of the Sacra-ments. Parishes are reminded to continue observing and following the reopening and liturgical guidelines from the Archdiocese (which have not changed since May 26, 2020). In particular, choirs are not allowed and are to be replaced with a cantor and accompanist. Parishes are asked to observe the following addition-al guidelines regarding music and singing at Mass or other liturgical services.

1. The cantor must maintain physical distancing from any other person, at least 6 feet from any other person. 2. Wind and brass instruments should be avoided and discouraged from use. Congregations are not encouraged to sing. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Thank you also for your flexibility in how we must now express our worship in an ever-changing situation. May we continue praying for each other, entrusting our lives to the intercession of our Blessed Mother Mary, and so re-main faithful disciples of her son, our Lord Jesus Christ.
