Alliance Lite2 is the all-new ‘cloud-based’ way to connect to the SWIFT network and related applications and services. Highly secure and reliable, Alliance Lite2 supports the message and file volume requirements of most SWIFT users.

Using SWIFT for financial communications enables you to reach thousands of financial institutions worldwide. With its standardised messaging for payments, account statements, trade, foreign exchange and more, SWIFT lets you combine multiple streams into a single, secure channel – increasing efficiency and reducing cost and operational risk.

Alliance Lite2 makes using SWIFT easier than ever. All you need is a standard Windows PC or laptop, browser and Internet connection, and the secure Alliance Lite2 USB token provided when you sign up for the service.

The right SWIFT connection for you?Alliance Lite2 provides access to all SWIFT message types (MT and MX) and flows. Both automated and manual entry of transactions are available – giving you additional flexibility in line with your business needs.

You can also access popular services and applications offered over SWIFTNet. These include Accord and Sanctions Screening from SWIFT, as well as Browse services offered by third parties such as market infrastructures.

Alliance Lite2 provides the same world-class security, resilience and peace of mind as SWIFT’s other Alliance interfaces. As a true cloud service, Alliance Lite2 is subscription based, with almost no upfront investment and no infrastructure to maintain – reducing operational effort and cost.

Alliance Lite2 is available 24/7/365, with the exception of the Allowed Downtime Window (weekends from 12:00 GMT Saturday until 04:00 GMT Sunday).

Pricing

Alliance Lite2 is priced as a banded monthly subscription. Pricing is scalable, meaning the amount you pay is based on how much you actually use the service.

Specific subscription prices are available from your SWIFT sales representative. Messages and files are standard prices. Separate subscription and fees will apply for using applications or services from SWIFT or third parties.

How Alliance Lite2 worksAlliance Lite2 lets you manually enter and view SWIFT messages from a Windows PC or laptop, using your Internet Explorer browser. You can also automate operations and integrate them with your back office using the Alliance Lite2 AutoClient function, which provides fully automated upload and download of messages and files.

All of your messages are sent safely and securely, thanks to world-class security features including public key infrastructure (PKI), digital signatures, two-way authentication and strong encryption.

Security is guaranteed by the Alliance Lite2 USB tokens provided by SWIFT. You simply insert the token into your PC or laptop and sign in using your individual login and password.

Messages are sent securely over the Internet, or you can choose to connect over a SWIFT-managed virtual private network (VPN). The VPN option does involve a minimal amount of hardware installation and maintenance at your site.
