OutlineThis is an international design competition proposal for
the central business district of Ho Chi Minh City. With the key
design theme of "Preservation and
Development in Balance", the proposal was awarded first prize
for its city-scapes respectful of their historic urban context,
pedestrian friendly
transportation networks and a high potential for realization
within the parameters of existing legal thinking. Subsequently
Nikken has been commissioned
to carry out detailed urban planning.
