Placed in central of Poland it is the biggest and the most important city in our country. Paac Kultury i Nauki is the highest building of our city. It is the culture and science center. The center of Warsaw. This is a business part of our city. In Warsaw you can see a lot of museums and monuments where you can learn about the history of the city. In the picture: Warsaw Mermaid the symbol of our city. Slide 5 Our city is very beautiful, I think. There are many different cultural monuments. Our city is not very big, but we love it. This is typical for Warsaw teenagers. But some of us have family houses. It is possible in the city too. Slide 9 Often in our houses or flats we have one bathroom with a toilet, one livingroom, parents bedroom, bedrooms for each child and, in the case of houses, guest bedrooms. In our rooms we all have computers because we cant live without the internet. one kitchen, Slide 10 Houses in Russia Cottages belong to rural area, but can be built in the city. The second floor has a bedroom, the first - a living room, kitchen, bathroom, boiler room. Often a cottage includes a garage for the car, often converted from an old barn. The hut - a wooden dwelling house in the rural wooded area in Russia, Ukraine, Belarus. Apartment houses - houses of mass series which are basis of the architectural appearance of the cities. By construction serial house are divided into panel, block and brick houses. In our school you can meet: -Dresy -Metale -Normalni Dresy they wear sportwear. Metale - they always wear a black blouse with the skeleton on it, black trausers and glany (heavy, leather, military boots, up to about 1/3 calf). Normalni Ordinary people are dressed in jeans, shirt, sometimes with a collar, when its cold they wear a sweatshirt. Slide 22 Slide 23 Free Time Marcin P/Eugenia Slide 24 Free time in Poland is spent mainly in home (reading books, computer games, the internet) or outside. There you have more attractions. You can go to play basketball, tennis, football or volleyball. So what are you waiting for? Go and do something :D. Slide 25 On the other hand many people choose another life- style and in their free time they prefer taking part in many events like private parties, concerts or clubs. Slide 26 Free Time Teens usually connect their free time with sport, music, friends and the Internet Here in Zlatoust sport is very popular. We have lots of sport clubs where most of teens spend their time after school. Also we have annual May race event for the fancy of running. As for me I enjoy spending my free time in an active way, often with my family or with my friends. I have not so much free time as I want but I try to get both good and pleasure from it. I go cycling when its warm, help my parents when they need, relax with my friends when Im tied. Slide 27 Spending spare time is different by boys who like more to explore cars, technique and extreme kinds of sport, and by girls, who are more worried what they look like, so they go shopping, experiment with their appearance, read fashion magazines when they are free. Of course, every boy and every girl has his or her own preferences who to spend free time, but the main aim is the same- to relax after busy day As for me I enjoy spending my free time in an active way, often with my family or with my friends. These portals are the teenagers most important sources of information and the tools of communication with friends. Slide 30 According to Polish teenagers the net is the best and the fastest way to communicate with friends. There is a Polish social network site called Cluster. There we can invite friends and chat with them. Sometimes we have a lot of fun watching school plays or dancing at the prom. In Poland the prom is called Studniwka and it takes place a 100 days before the final exams. Our Maths and History teachers at Talent ShowStudniwka. Lets have fun! Slide 36 Zlatoust Secondary School 25 We are proud of our Black & White debating club. We enjoy the time that we spend it this club. The leader of Black & White club is our history teacher. Slide 37 Also our school has a musical band. Our grandparents live separately There are about 50% single parents in our school Slide 40 Our grandparents often live in the country. We usually have one brother or sister. About 30% of students in our school are the only children. Slide 41 Russian families arent very big now. Young families (18-27) dont have children or have only one. Older families (28-40) have two or three children. And old families (like our grandparents) have more than three children. Slide 42 Environment Mariusz/Ekaterina Slide 43 Park Saski The biggest problem in Warsaw are traffic jams and air pollution because we have too many cars. But we also have a lot of parks. Slide 44 Park Moczydo This is the most popular park in Warsaw. There are many entertainment possibilities there like swimming pool or bungee and a beautiful garden. Slide 45 Environment The weather in this part of Russian is very changeable. The temperatures in the Urals are about -20 below zero in winter and + 15 or warmer in summer. Quite often we have very cold winters and rainy summer here. In spite of changeable climate we have great landscapes, here in the southern part of the Ural mountains. And our town of Zlatoust is surrounded by these mountains. There are also many lakes in Russian Federation and in Ural region too! There is Lake Turgoyak is the cleanest and the coldest lake in our region. Slide 46 Slide 47 Events&Holidays Mikoaj/Natalia Slide 48 Polish Independence Day (November 11) National Independence Day is a public holiday in Poland celebrated every year on 11 November to commemorate the anniversary of Poland's assumption of independent statehood in 1918 after 123 years of partitions by Austria- Hungary, Germany, and Russia. Slide 49 Warsaw Uprising Warsaw Uprising was a struggle by the Polish resistance movement organization Polish Home Army to liberate Warsaw from Nazi German occupation during World War II. The Uprising began on 1 August 1944. Every year at 7 p.m. on that day people in Poland stop for one minute to commemorate the victims of the Uprising. Slide 50 New Year's Day & Christmas The first holiday of the year is New Year's Day. People see the new year in at midnight on the 31 st of December. They greet the new year with champagne and listen to the Kremlin chimes beating 12 o'clock. In every home there is a New Year tree glittering with colored lights and decorations. Children always wait for Father Frost to come and give them a present. Christmas is celebrated on January 7 in Russia. It's a religious holiday and a lot of people go to church services on that day. Slide 51 On May 9, 1945, the Soviet Army and its allies completely defeated the German fascists and the Second World War ended. Many veterans took part in the military parade and laid wreaths on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. A lot of guests from different countries of the world came to Moscow to participate in the celebrations. Independence Day and Victory Day Independence Day is a new holiday in our country. On the 12th of June, 1992, the first President of Russia was elected.
