JAMMING 1: MUSIC & ART Ms. Vivian Chan (MMT, NMT, MT-BC, MTA)
Music and the arts are not only creative means of self
expression, they are also a way through which people connect and resonate with each other. Join us for a 45 minute session of
art and music to bond and reconnect with yourself, and with those around you.
There are no prior experiences or skills required to attend except to come with an open mind and heart. We can accommodate 15-
20 explorers. So, come as you are to experience your creative selves at your own pace and comfort level with others in your
community through art creation and music!
JAMMING 2: VOCALIZATION Ms. Cheung Kit Yang, Carol (RMT, NMT)
Our voice is the most intimate , unique and powerful
instrument. Using our voice might expose our vulnerability, but may also empower us. This activity-based improvisation
workshop helps you to get in touch with your body, find ways to use your voice in therapeutic settings.
Please note this is NOT a singing class! You do not need to have
vocal background.
JAMMING 3: SONGWRITING Mr. Kingman Chung (BA, MMT, RMT)
Songwriting is one of the common therapeutic interventions that is often used in music therapy to meet the client’s needs. Music therapists can create songs for clients. These songs are created
as a music tool to achieve specific goals and purposes, for instance, promoting their self-esteem, coping skills, and
empowerment.
Join us to compose our own song together and experience the power of music!
JAMMING 4: MUSIC & IMAGERY Mr. Ng Wai Man (MAMT, MAMusPsy, PGDipMT, GradDip GIM,
BMus, BSc, RMT-UK, RGIMT)
Listening to music is a common method for relaxation. However, if we want to achieve a more relaxed state, the use of both music
and imagery can work more effectively in doing so. In this workshop, participants will experience guided imagery without
music and guided imagery with music.
Participants will experience a musical journey whilst listening to a series of classical music and learning how to apply this method at
home for daily relaxation.
ELCHK Men in Jazz
信義男爵樂團
“Men in Jazz” is a project carried out by the Evangelical Lutheran Church Social Service-Hong Kong (ELCHK) and was first established in 2011.
Members of Men in Jazz constituted of men over the age of 50 and are at their golden age. Most of our
band members do not possess any music background.
The mission of Men in Jazz is mainly to provide these
men with solace and mental support. The band quickly became a place where they were able to
relieve their stresses from work and find peace. The music they shared also created a post retirement
social network for them. For those who had missed out on the opportunity to pursue music during their younger days, Men in Jazz can help to revive their
dreams.
