3.3.Get Offline

If you did not get of f l ine by r ule, you may be unable to get

online this time, so you are supposed to click on the button

“我的设备”(“My Devices”) to get offline again., as shown

in Figure 15, 16-1, 16-2.

3.4.Pause and Recover International Network Service (for Student Users)

Student users who do not use the campus network during a

vacation can pause the monthly international network ser vice

through network self-ser vice system, and can recover it after

getting back to the university. The remaining number of days

can be used after recovery.

network ser vice do not need to pause or recover the ser vice.

To pause the ser vice, click on the button “ 暂 停”(“Pause”)

to jump to the page of pause, then click “确认暂停”(“Confirm

Pause”), as shown in Figure 17-1, 17-2.

To recover the service, click on the button “恢复”(“Recover”) to

jump to the page of recovery, then click “确认恢复”(“Confirm

Recover”), as shown in Figure 18-1, 18-2.

Visit On-Campus Network Resources via VPN from the Outside

1.Instructions of the VPN System

W h e n a u s e r a c c e s s e s u n i v e r s i t y ’s l i b r a r y d a t a b a s e s a n d

other resources outside the school, VPN is needed. Note the

following about the VPN system.

1)The address of the VPN system: http: //v pn.uibe.edu.cn;

2)The VPN system is prov ided for teachers and students of

UIBE only;

3)The user name and password of the VPN system are the

s a m e a s t h e u s e r n a m e a n d pa s s w o rd o f t h e i n f o r m at i o n

platform;

4 ) I f y o u c a n n o t a c c e s s u n i v e r s i t y ’s re s o u rc e s t h ro u g h a

browser, you can try VPN client. See specific use in “ 客 户

端 登 陆 方 法” (“Client Login Method”) from http: //v pn.

uibe.edu.cn.

2.Notes of the VPN System

1)If you cannot access VPN by domain name, please tr y IP

address instead.

Education Network: http: //202.204.160.5

Non-Education Network: http: //111.203.17.61.

2)The max number of users the VPN system can support at

the same time is 500. Please log out in a timely manner once

VPN is no longer needed to facilitate others.

3.Usage of the VPN System

1)Open the browser, and enter “http: //v pn.uibe.edu.cn/” in

the address bar. Click “Yes” if the following page appears:

the librar y. If you want to v isit other sites in addition to the

existing list via VPN, enter the URL (eg: http: //bbs.uibe.edu.

cn) in the bar, then click on “浏览” (“view ”) button.

5)Once VPN is no longer needed, please log out in a timely

manner to facilitate others.

The Information Department is in the Computing

The user name is Student ID, the initial password would be

3. UIBE’s WeChat Enterprise Account

U I B E’s We C h a t e n te r p r i s e a c c o u n t i s a m i c r o - p o r t a l o f

intelligent campus. The account provides ser vices for UIBE’s

teachers and students only through strict authentication. Its

ser vices include off icial business, teaching , scientif ic research

an d l i f e . Th e ac c o u nt a l s o o f f er s p er s o na l i z e d au to mate d

intel ligent push ser vice, covering notices, bulletins, data and

other dimensions.

4. Campus Wired Network

Each dormitory has several campus wired network ports, users

are free to access the majority of domestic network resources

and some foreig n educat ion net work resources . To access

o t h er n e t w o r k re s o u rc e s , yo u n e e d to o p en i nter nat i o na l

network ser vice, the fee is 20 yuan / month (unlimited data).

After connecting the campus w ired network , click any URL

to jump to the landing page. The user name is Student ID,

the password is the same as the password of the information

platform. If you want to modif y your password, please v isit

the infor mat ion plat for m and change the password of the

information platform.

5. Visit On-Campus Network Resources from the Outside

VPN is required when you visit on-campus network resources

from the outside, the website address is: http://v pn.uibe.edu.

cn. The user name is Student ID, the password is the same

as the password of the information platform. If you want to

modif y your password, please v isit the information platform

and change the password of the information platform.

6. Campus Wireless Network

Wireless network “UIBE-WL AN” is available in campus. After

connecting UIBE-WL AN, click on any URL to jump to the

landing page. The user name is Student ID, the password is the

same as the password of the information platform. If you want

to modif y your password, please visit the information platform

and change the password of the information platform.

Two terminal devices are allowed to be logged on at once for

a student , including one computer terminal dev ice such as

desktop and laptop, and one w ireless mobile dev ice such as

mobile phone and iPad. The latter device would automatically

edge out the former one when limits are exceeded.

7. Network Self-Service

Campus Network Authentication System User Guide

According to different access methods, UIBE campus network

is divided into “wired access” and “wireless access”.

Connecting to the Internet through wired access in the off ice

area does not require authentication, you can directly access

the Internet once the network connection is successful.

C o n n e c t i n g t o t h e I n t e r n e t t h r o u g h w i r e d a c c e s s i n

t h e te a c h i n g b u i l d i n g o r i n t h e d o r m i to r y a r e a r e q u i r e s

a u t h e n t i c a t i o n , y o u c a n v i s i t f r e e n e t w o r k r e s o u r c e s o f

domestic education network once you login successfully. To

access other network resources, you need to open international

network ser vice, the fee is 20 yuan / month (unlimited data).

W hether in the of f ice area, teaching bui lding or dormitor y

a rea , c o n n e c t i n g to t h e In te r n e t t h ro u g h w i re l e s s ac c e s s

requires authentication.

The operations of login authentication of two access methods

are described below.

1.Wired Access

1.1.Get Online

Turn on the computer and confirm the network connection is

successful, then enter a URL in the browser’s address bar such

as “ http://w w w.baidu .com”, the browser w i l l automatical ly

open the login authentication page, as shown in Figure 1.

Enter your user name and password in the login authentication page,

once authenticated, it will jump to another page displaying “ 您

1.“i Huiyuan”

“i Huiyuan” is the information platform of UIBE, its website

address is: http://i .uibe.edu.cn/. “i Huiy uan” is not only an

impor tant platform for information publi shing , but a l so a

social platform for students. The user name is Student ID, the

initial password would be informed later, please change your

password after the f irst login in a timely manner.

2.E-mail System

The website address of UIBE’s e-mail system is: http://mail .

u i b e .e d u .c n / . Th i s s y s te m p ro v i d e s f o r t h e teac h e r s a n d

students w ith e-mai l under the domain name “uibe.edu.cn”.

2.Wireless Access

2.1.Get Online

1)Search and select “UIBE-WL AN” in your mobile terminal ,

as shown in Figure 5.

2)Confirm the wireless network (UIBE-WLAN) connection is

successful, then enter a URL in the browser’s address bar, the

browser will automatically open the login authentication page.

Users can log in network self-ser vice system to view account

3.1.Log in Network Self-Service System

1)The l ink of net work sel f-ser v ice system is located below

the login authentication page. Click “ 用 户 自 助 服 务 ”

（“Self- Ser v ice”） to log in network self-ser v ice system, as

shown in Figure 10.

2)Enter your user name and password in the net work sel f -

ser vice system page, as shown in Figure 11.

3)Once log ged in , you can cl ick on buttons to v iew some

information and do some operations, as shown in Figure 12.
