The biggest challenge in my life was when I took a GRE exam. It was tough for numerous

vocabulary for ten hours everyday in order to prepare for the test. It was not easy.

'e(u is regarded as the )awaii of "sia. With a name like that it is apparent that there are

lots of interesting and famous places to see. That*s why so many tourists visit 'e(u island

throughout the year.

'e(u is a place where +riental and Western cultures mix together. !o it attracts visitors

who wish to experience something uni,ue. "ccording to the &orea Tourist "ssociation most

tourists are attracted to 'e(u*s uni,ue features which show the harmony of +riental and Western

cultures.

%or these reasons I consider 'e(u the best public place in my country.

3. Which is the best city you have visited? Why?

The best city I*ve ever visited is -ancouver.

-ancouver was extremely beautiful. It*s surrounded by mountains on one side and the

ocean on the other. I really en(oyed viewing the mountains while I was walking down the beach.

In addition -ancouver citiens were very polite. %or example people held the door for

me when I was behind them. "lso no one bumped into me while I was walking down the street

although the sidewalk was very crowded.

4. Describe the country you would most like to visit and eplain why. !nclude

I think the country I*d most like to visit is !witerland.

%irst the scenery in !witerland is extremely beautiful. In particular I want to hike up the

mountains and en(oy the view from the top. It*s sure to be spectacular.

!econd I*d like to try some of !witerland*s uni,ue foods. I*d love to taste their world/famous cheeses. In addition I want to sample their many kinds of chocolate which is one of my

favorite foods.

". Describe the most important social or political event in your country. Why is it

important?

The most memorable social event in my country occurred in 0110 when the &orean 2ational

football team made it to semi/finals of the World 3up.

%irst I am a huge fan of soccer and I really en(oy watching my national football team. It

made me feel proud watching the team from my country make it all the way to the final four.

!econd people all over the country wore the same red T/shirts and got together to root for

the national team. It was an impressive exciting and memorable experience for the &orean

people including me.

%or these reasons the 0110 World 3up was one of the most unforgettable events in

&orean history.

#. What do you consider when you choose a restaurant?

There are many factors that I consider when choosing a restaurant.

+n top of that I always make sure that kindness is a top priority of staff. When a

restaurant host or hostess welcomes me warmly I am happy. Regardless of the ,uality of food I

don*t want to go there unless the staff is polite.

%ood ,uality is also an important factor. I don*t mind paying more money for food that

has been prepared with precision and care. These are my primary considerations when I select a

restaurant.

$. Describe the situation you heard the good news.

The last time I heard good news was when I was informed that that I would have an opportunity

to give a presentation at )arvard 4niversity.

It had taken me a year to finalie my paper. It wasn*t easy. )aving an opportunity to give

a presentation at )arvard was a big success after such a long effort. That*s why I felt proud ofmyself.

In addition I performed a huge experiment for the study. I individually met with fifty

participants. I recorded their voices. %ollowing the meetings I segmented each participant*s

voices to gain the information for my paper.

I consider the presentation it as my happiest recent memory.

%. Which was the most important decision in your life?

The most crucial decision in my life was my entering graduate school.

When I made the decision I passed up a chance to become a teacher. "ctually my family

wanted me to be a teacher. )owever I had insisted on being a graduate student. It was my own

choice. That*s why I felt proud of myself.

!econd the decision led me to a bigger dream of becoming a college professor and it

also gave me passion for my ma(or. !o whenever I think about the time when I was at a loss as

to which way to go I remind myself that my decision was wonderful because I am now very

happy.

%irst she had always devoted herself to me. Even when I studied for my exams she used

we would meet each other again. #ut this will never happen.

steep. That*s why mountains function as a natural health club.

What was the reaction you had?

I want to talk about a time when I was asked for help. "ctually I have had several experiences

with this.

%irst of all I was very surprised because I hadn*t met the person before. #ut after a short

If their re,uest was unrealistic or if it was a hectic time I politely turned them down.

#ut if it was not a big burden and I was available I tried to give them a hand.

Even though I have never seen him in person

every time I think about him I gain self/confidence. Then I believe that I can persevere through

most challenges although I might muddle through some bitter experiences.

soon gave it to me as a birthday gift. When I received it I felt (oyful. I have two reasons why I

like it so much.

The first is that it was the first English song that I learned. It made me interested in

English. "t first it was not easy to listen to the song without lyrics. "s time passed I got

accustomed to it. The second reason is that whenever I listen to the song it makes me think
