Prvo privatno sveučilište u HercegoviniFirst private university in Herzegovina
Udruživanjem triju registriranih
fakulteta, 20. 7. 2010. godine u
Međugorju je potpisan sporazum o
osnivanju prvog privatnog sveučilišta
– Sveučilišta Hercegovina.
Tri fakulteta funkcioniraju kao
zasebne cjeline unutar jedne
visokoškolske ustanove, Sveučilište
djeluje kao asocijacija fakulteta.
By joint agreement of three
registered faculties, on 20 July 2010,
in Medjugorje, the first private
university - the Herzegovina
University was founded.
Three faculties are functioning as
separate entities within the
University as a higher education
institution; the University operates
as an association of faculties.
Zakon o visokom obrazovanjuHigher Education Law
U travnju 2012. na snagu stupa novi Zakon o visokom obrazovanju u Hercegovačko-neretvanskom kantonu/županiji. Sveučilište je u obvezi uskladiti se s odredbama Zakona. Snažnije se razvijaju sveučilišna tijela, formiraju se nove službe i organizacijske jedinice, reguliraju se brojna pitanja normativnim aktima ili na način predviđen zakonom.
In April 2012, the new Higher
Education Law is adopted in
Herzegovina-Neretva Canton. The
University is required to comply with
the provisions of the Act. Academic
bodies were developed, new
services and organizational units
were created are regulated by a
number of normative acts or as
provided by law.

izdvaja jedan Fakultet, mijenja se
Statut, organiziraju se studijski
programi, konstituiraju se nova
tijela, započinje unutarnji preustroj.
Pojačava se akademski kadar
Sveučilišta, broj upisanih studenata
stalno je u usponu, vrši se postupak
samoevaluacije – priprema za
akreditaciju ustanove.
In mid-2014 one of the three
faculties had singled out from the
University, the Statute was changed,
study programs were organized,
new bodies were constituted, an
internal reorganization began . The
academic staff of the University was
enhanced, the number of students
was constantly on the rise, the
University applied for institutional
accreditation.
Osiguranje kvalitete radaQuality Assurance
U 2017. godini dovršen je postupak
upisa Sveučilišta u Registar
akreditiranih visokoškolskih
ustanova u BiH, intenzivno se radi na
osiguranju kvalitete.
Rad Sveučilišta se učvršćuje na tri
stupa:
-Akademsko-nastavni,
-Znanstveno-istraživački,
-Praktično-primijenjeni.
In 2017 the University is enlisted inthe Register of Accredited Higher
Education Institutions in B&H, thework on quality assurance is
intensified.
Functioning of the University is based on three pillars:- Academic (Teaching),- Scientific (Research),
- Practical (Applied Knowledge).

Odlukom o preustroju Sveučilišta
predviđeno je da se na Fakultetu
društvenih znanosti dr. Milenka
Brkića organiziraju četiri odjela.
