1. SyringeA syringe is a simple piston pump consisting of a plunger that fits tightly in a tube. The
plunger can be pulled and pushed along inside a cylindrical tube (the barrel), allowing thesyringe to take in and expel a liquid or gas through an orifice at the
open end of the tube. The open end of the syringe may be fitted witha hypodermic needle, a nozzle, or tubing to help direct the flow into
and out of the barrel. Syringes are often used to administer injections,insert intravenous drugs into the bloodstream, apply compounds such
as glue or lubricant, and measure liquids.
2. Tourniquet
A tourniquet is a constricting or compressing device
used to control venous and arterial circulation to an extremity for a period of time. Pressure is
applied circumferentially upon the skin and underlying tissues of a limb; this pressure istransferred to the walls of vessels, causing them to become temporarily occluded. It is generally
used as a tool for a medical professional in applications such as cannulation or to stem the flowof traumatic bleeding, especially by military medics.
3. Kidney dishA kidney dish is a kidney-shaped bowl used in medical and surgical wards to receive
soiled dressings and other medical waste. Reusable kidney dishes are usually made of stainless

steel, while disposable ones may be made of paper pulp or plastic. The shape of the dish allows itto be held against the patient's body to catch any falling fluids or debris.
4. Alcohol swab
Alcohol swabs are used to clean the injection site
before injection. Swabs also remove any blood resulting from the injection from fingers andother surfaces. Alcohol swabs are for single use only.

measure body temperature.the thermometer generally divided into two types of digitalthermometers and mercury thermometers.

Thestethoscope is an acoustic medical device forauscultation, or listening to the internal sounds of an animal body. It is often used to
listen to lung and heart sounds. It is also used to listen to intestines and blood flow inarteries and veins. In combination with a sphygmomanometer, it is commonly used for
measurements of blood pressure.
7. SpignomanometerA sphygmomanometer orblood pressure meter is a device used to measure blood
pressure, comprising an inflatable cuff to restrict blood flow, and a mercury or mechanical
manometer to measure the pressure. It is always used in conjunction with a means to determineat what pressure blood flow is just starting, and at what pressure it is unimpeded. Manual
sphygmomanometers are used in conjunction with a stethoscope.

10.Urine catheter
Inurinary catheterization, or "cathing" for short, a
latex or silicone tube known as a urinary catheter that is inserted into a patient's bladder via hisor her urethra.Catheterization allows the patient's urine to drain freely from the bladder for
collection, or to inject liquids used for treatment or diagnosis of bladder conditions. Theprocedure of catheterization will usually be done by a clinician, often a nurse, although self-
catheterization is possible as well.
11.wheelchairA wheelchair is a chair with wheels, designed to be a replacement for walking. The
device comes in variations where it is propelled by motors or by the seated occupant turning therear wheels by hand. Often there are handles behind the seat for someone else to do the pushing.
Wheelchairs are used by people for whom walking is difficult or impossible due to illness(physiological or physical), injury, or disability. People with both sitting and walking disability
often need to use a wheelbench.

blade which helps in cutting bandages without gouging skin.
16.Idesecting scissorsIDesectingscissors- Dissecting scissors may have curved or straight blades. The straight
scissors have very sharp tips. The two sharp point blades in the dissecting scissors find great use
where any dissection work is needed or in professional laboratory or in any home.
17.I iris scissorI Iris scissor- Iris scissors are designed for eye surgery and not for skin surgery and hence
the name. Iris scissors are used for remove necrotic tissue. These are very sharp, pointed scissors,available with either curved or angular cutting blades.

21. Reflex Hammer
A reflex hammer is a medical instrument used byphysicians to test deep tendon reflexes. Testing for reflexes is an important part of the neurological
physical examination in order to detect abnormalities in the central or peripheral nervous system. Reflex
hammers can also be used for chest percussion.
22.PenlightA penlight is a small flashlight in the shape of a pen. A penlight usually uses a small light known
as an "LED" (Light Emitting Diode) but it can also use a small lightbulb made just for small flashlights. The
LED lights up when power is run through it. Making the penlight light up is as simple as pressing a
button, or screwing the end on tighter so it makes contact with the batteries. Penlight used to
examine the pupillary reflex in the eye, checking the mouth, nose and ears checked.

bandages designed for a specific limb or part of the body, although bandages can often be improvised as
the situation demands, using clothing, blankets or other material. "bandage" is often used to mean a
dressing, which is used directly on a wound, whereas a bandage is technically only used to support a
dressing, and not directly on a wound.
