From February 23-28, 2016, delegates from the U.S.-China Center for Animal Health (USCCAH), UC Davis, and Iowa State University (ISU) visited Sichuan Agricultural University (SAU) for interview for the U.S.-China Joint DVM Program. The interview committee participated in a series of presentations at SAU highlighting the U.S.-China collaboration on veterinary education, as well as the DVM and research programs at the U.S. veterinary schools. About 400 SAU’s faculty and students attended the seminar.

The delegates visited China Giant Panda Protection and Research Center.

Jishu Shi and Lei Wang discussed with deans about career opportunities of future graduates of the U.S.-China Joint DVM Program at CAU, as well as about organizing the International Conference on Veterinary Innovation/Entrepreneuship in conjunction with the 14th National Veterinary School Deans meeting that will be held at Zhejiang A&F University in August of 2016.
