In 1972, Late Sh. D.S. Khanna Founder of Volga Transmissions Pvt. Ltd. setup a plant for

manufacturing of Rubber Transmission Belts at Rai, Sonepat in Haryana. In 1973 & 1974, the

company also started manufacturing Rubber conveyor Belts upto a width of 1000 mm &

Industrial V-Belts and Automotive Fan Belts.

For manufacturing conveyor belts in widths above 1000mm & upto 1500mm a new plant was

setup at Badhkhalsa Sonepat in the year 1983. In 1985 they obtained know how for both Raw

Edge and wrapped in V-Belts from the most reputed manufacturer of Industrial V-Belts &

Automotive Fan belts in West Germany.

The company manufactures ISI quality products and its quality norms are far stringent. With

one of the most advanced belts manufacturing plants, the company is dedicated to develop and

manufacture high quality V-Belts for Industrial, Agricultural & Automotive application. The

belts comply with ISO, DIN, BIS, BS, JIS, JASO and RMA standards. There is a huge listof happy consumers across the Industry in India using our manufactured V-Belts. Most

YEAR EVENTS 1971 - The Company was Incorporated as a private limited Company on 11th

July under the name & style of Volga Transmission Pvt. Ltd. The main objective of Company

is to manufacturer rubber goods, conveyor, transmission & V-Belts motor and bicycle tyres &

tubes, rubber mattings and fittings gloves and mattresses and hose pipes.

1971Established by Late Sh. D.S. Khanna.

1972First production unit established at Rai in Haryana.

1974First R&D unit was established.

1980 - The Comp. increased the production capacity of conveyor/transmission belts from 1,250

tonnes to 2,125 tonnes per annum.

1983 - New plant was setup at Badhkhalsa Sonepat .

1986 - The Company undertook to set up a new unit to manufacture 1.65 million pieces of raw

edge `V' belts in technical collaboration with Arntzoptibelt-KG of West Germany.

1991 - The Company received a Letter of Intent to enhance the capacity for manufacturing of

V-Belts from 18 lakh pieces to 21 lakh pieces per annum.

1995 - Poly-V belts were introduced in order to complete the automotive belt drive programme.

1998 - The Company proposed to restructure the Belts division in technical & Financial

collaboration with A/s Roulunds Fabriker of Denmark to form a new joint venture Company.

For this purpose, the Company proposed to sell the belts division to the Joint Venture in which

the Company will hold 50% equity & the balance 50% will be held by A/s Roulunds Fabricker

& IFU.

2000 Established a new unit at Dadri in Uttar Pradesh.
