C Program Philosophy

C Program is centered on building a bilingual learning environment with a sense of community that is respectful of t

• C Program Teachers balance the use of independent time with small and large group activities; covering instruction in process and skills; physical movement, exploratory learning and outdoor time.

• C Program main teachers are certified American teachers; they carefully consider the interests, the skills of each student then enrich & nuture them.

• The Head Chinese & Math teachers design the enhancements to New Shanghai Standard Curriculum and coordinate the specialty teachers.

中方助理班主任 , 中方教师执教语文、数学等中文系列课程。

• The Head Chinese teacher teaches 8 class lessons of Chinese and 1 homeroom session each week.

• Math is taught by Qualified Chinese Math teachers with 4 lessons and 1 homeroom session each week.

• The Head Chinese & Math teachers enhance the New Standard Shanghai Curriculum and coordinates the Chinese specialty teachers.

使用上海市统一的语文、数学等教材，中方教师执教。

• It’s a program for families on the move, at any time, each child can academically fit into a Chinese or an American School.

经过学习学生既能到英语国家继续学业，又能在中国继续学习。

C Program English Testing

Although testing is only one part of the learning process, it is a valuable tools to quantify development and levels of basic skill learning.

• The ITBS Tests (Iowa Test for Basic Skills) Standard Tests

• Our 1st graders scores; June 2007 matched the level of 2nd Term 2nd graders in US schools.

C Program Testing in Chinese

The Chinese & Math Tests reflect two separate tests: 语文 + 数学

• Students take C Program Chinese & Math Tests designed by our teachers which often exceed the SS Curriculum Standard tests.

学生参加学校组织的测试。

• C Program Students also have the opportunity to take the SS Standard Tests as well. If indeed a student needs to move to another school they would have two sets of excellent tests score.*
