The Westin Bund Center in partnership with the Consulate General of South Africa, is celebrating 20 years of democracy in South Africa with a South African food, wine and culture celebration! One of the best ways to enjoy South Africa is through its food and wine. South African food is a gastronomic delight; an amalgamation of flavors from various parts of the world, reflecting the cultural diversity and colors of the people. Lerato is a South African chef, specializing in South African Afro and African cuisine. She studied Culinary Arts and has a Diploma in Pastry, a Diploma in Culinary Arts and holds an International Advanced Management Diploma in Culinary Arts. She has worked for many international hotels and restaurants and has recently returned to South Africa after living and working in Miami. Lerato loves exploring different cultures, their beginnings and their food and is delighted to be in Shanghai to share in The Westin’s celebration of South Africa.
