Application of the system approach in the modern domestic
scientific literature on geography (from the example of papers in
leading geographical journals of recent years) is estimated. Some
difficulties of use and border of applicability of the system
approach in geography are specified.
Key words: system methodology, the system approach, syste-
matical character of geographical research, applicability of the
sys-tem approach.
