We are very pleased to present you the annual progress report for the period 2016 -2017
because Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti has succeeded to achieve year round activities. Our
activities have facilitated the batter relationship with the community and multi stake holders.
At present Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti and hina mahila public Academy has secured its
district identity among the civil society organizations.We are grateful to the consortium of our doner
groups for the financial support to our endeavors in our core programs.
The organization expresses heartfelt thanks to our community and volunteers for their active support in
out reach and extension of our issues & programs in their areas.
We are also grateful to our executive board members for their suggestions to guide the programes in the
right direction.
We also thank to media, academia, community for contribution/ involvement from time to time as per our

Organization History
Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti (HMUS )is a civil society organization . registered under the societies act 21- 1860 utter Pradesh India year of 2005 . it has been established in district shrawasti ( indo nepal border ) the organization was founded by a small group of social activist and enthusiastic people like minded citizens who recognized that there is a greater
need to intervenes in the present situation for the betterment of the society . HMUS came in to existence for the upliftment of the tribal, dalit , women, children , and minority . HMUS recognized that when given priority to the women, children and the socio- economically weaker sections of the society

Our Mission
Empowerment of the marginalized people of society, especially the Dalits, women and children through a process of awareness, organization, collective actions and advocacy for raising their socio-political, educational, economic, health status and promotion of environment.

A Continues Process of Animation and Advocacy among Men and Women to become aware form and organize into groups, and federation ,and to take action for integrated participatory , sustainable development
The Focus Area Of the Organization
Our Target Group
The target group focus of HMUS is poor in general and especially Children, women drawn
from the poorest communities and households. Specifically, the target group focus by caste is
on the SCs, STs and OBCs and other marginal communities; landless, artisans and marginal
and small farmers.

The Independence Day is celebrated Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti .
chief guest Mr. ML Rawat provide lecture the Independence day
Festival is the celebration which memorializes the day on which
India attained freedom on 15th of August .On 15th August 1947,
India Achieved freedom from the British rule . Every year , 15th of
August is celebrated as the Independence Day In India . This is a
national festival which is celebrated with great passion all over the
country . In the year 1947 , at the beginning of the mid night , as
India as India entered into15th of August , Pandit Jawahar Lal
Nehru , the first Prime Minister of India , read out the renowned
speech which announced the Independence of India . This historic
moment ended 3 centuries of British colonial rule in India . The
preparations of the Independence Day festival in villages began a
week in advance . Small buntings and flags were prepared and
pasted on strings so that the whole office courtyard could be
decorated with them . Most of the important roads are decorated
with flags and fabrics . The Independence Day is celebrated with
flags hoisting ceremonies and cultural programs in the villages .
The Independence Day program participated in 200 students .

Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti organized world Literacy Day
Program Literacy is a key component of human
development. Literacy has been accepted as a right of every
women , Man and child. It is needed both as an end in itself
to enable people to lead a cultured and more satisfying life as
well as for developing human capabilities for earning higher
income. Educational levels are also closely related with other
indicators of human development like fertility, mortality rates,
etc. This chapter discusses the progress of education at
different levels in the state and the various state initiatives
taken in this direction and identifies critical areas for future
development. Among other things, it examines the
educational status at the state and district level, progress in
educational infrastructure, recent government initiatives in the
field of primary and secondary education, expansion of higher
and technical education and public expenditure on education
in the state. The chapter also identifies the future challenges
and outlook in the field of education.

an adequate standard of living. In 1992, India
ratified the United Nations Convention on

crops of the area are paddy, wheat, cereals, Massor and mustered. Due to excess use of
chemical fertilizer and lack of introducing improved agriculture techniques produce has
decreased gradually. Sericulture is the cultivation of silk through rearing of silkworms. It is an
agro-based industry. It involves the raising of food plants for silkworm, rearing of silkworms for
production of cocoons, reeling and spinning of cocoon for production of yarn. Mulberry
silkworms feed only on Mulberry leaves and produce mulberry silk

program about the acquired immunodeficiency syndrome , AIDS
is a fatal illness caused by a retrovirus known as the human
immunodeficiency virus (HIV ) which breakdown the body’s
immune system . the disease is transmitted through unsafe
sexual relations, contaminated blood transfusion, contaminated
needles , etc. and precaution that one should take at the time of
taking injection , blood etc. beside this the experts also described
in details the reasons for AIDS and the precautions needed to be
taken generally , to remain safe from AIDS . The awareness
meeting against AIDS included road show and small meetings in
the village . This meetings participated in 30 male and 20 female

Hina Mahila Utthan Samiti organized Financial Literacy Program Resource Person Mr. ML Rawat Provide Knowledge BCs will provide the facility of saving deposit accounts with inbuilt overdraft, fixed deposit and recurring deposits. They will also allowremittance of funds from our accounts and receipt of funds into our account. Besides, they will provide credit for income generating activities through Kisan Credit Cards for farming activities and General Credit Card
for non farm based activities. Resource Person Mr. DDPandey Provide Knowledge Small Overdraft is inbuilt in the saving bank account to take care of the our emergent miscellaneous needs. We can withdraw the amount upto the limit of overdraft without going through separate documentation for availing small amount. Thus, it facilitates timely availability of money in cases of emergencies. We are required to pay the interest on the amount of overdraft as it is a loan given by the bank.
