Error correlation model
Seperti banyak data time
diberikan.
Research method error correlation model
One of the objectives of this study is to build a tourism demand model that incorporates socio-psychological variables into tourism demand analysis on the basis of the proposed framework. An error correction model (ECM) is adopted to model the relationship between tourism demand and its determining factors. The ECM is chosen from among many other casual model due to hypothetical consideration. Like many other economic time series, time series data for many tourism variables are trended and non stationary and are highly likely to be co integrated with high coefficient of determination, R2, and significant t-statistic that does not have any economic meaning. Beside that this study also also investigate structural change in the tourism economic of four origin country. given the fact that the tourism economic system between the four origins and hongkong has change significantly in the past three decades structural changes in the economic should be anticipated. As structural break will bias the result of dickey – fuller test (enders,2004) in this study a structural break test was conducted following the methodology adopted by (zivot and andrew 1992) where unit root test is performed in the presence of structural break are determined endogenously and are selected where the t-statistic from augmented dickey fuller test (ADF) of unit root is at a minimum. As the stationary, if the demand relationship being studied is tested non-stationary and integrated of the same order by the ADF test, a co integration procedure adopted in a multivariate VAR (vector auto regression). With the estimated long run equilibrium relationship features of the co-integration model, short run relationship are then estimated based on a general to specific approach within the error correction framework (kulendran, 1996; shen li & song, 2008). the outline the advantages of analyzing demand using co integration and ECM methodology. First both the long run properties and short run dynamics of the model can be examined in a single analytic frameworks; second the problem of spurious regression encountered in the traditional approach is overcome; and third the ECM can easily be fitted to the general specific methodological a process of searching for the most parsimonious model that best fits the given data
