PERFORMANCE INDICATORS
ILLUSTRATE & COMMUNICATE ORIGINAL IDEAS & STORIES USING
DIGITAL TOOLS & MEDIA-RICH RESOURCES (1, 2)
Each student will have a day to walk around with a camera taking pictures of the world through “their eyes”
Students will then create a digital photo album & print out a book of these pictures
Students will be able to add text & descriptions in the book if they choose
IDENTIFY, RESEARCH, & COLLECT DATA ON AN ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUE USING
DIGITAL RESOURCES & PROPOSE A DEVELOPMENTALLY APPROPRIATE
SOLUTION. (1, 3, 4) Recycle bins will be placed in
classrooms directly next to trash can Example & directions will be provided
to students on to indicate what materials should go into which waste bin & whyPaper (including plates & cups)Glass & Plastic
Clean up in door & outside play area
DEMONSTRATE SAFE & COOPERATIVE USE OF TECHNOLOGY (5)
Showing students proper ways to conduct searches using Google engine
Visit websites that are considered safe & show how to decipher what is not considered a safe website
Show students what a pop up window looks like & explain why we block pop up windows
DEMONSTRATE THE ABILITY TO NAVIGATE IN VIRTUAL
ENVIRONMENTS SUCH AS ELECTRONIC BOOKS, SIMULATION
SOFTWARE, & WEBSITES (6)
