COURSE DESCRIPTION

This course is designed for collage students that are learning English as a second language. It develops the fundamental grammar comprehension through explanations and variety of application exercises in order to lead them to communicative performances when speaking and writing as well as understanding the language in listening and reading activities. This course promotes vocabulary acquisition, especially that within the students’ technological area, computer field and daily life. GENERAL OBJETIVES At the end of the course, students will:

1. Comprehend English grammar 2. Enrich their vocabulary 3. Apply skills studied in actual English communication activities 4. Compose correct sentences using grammar and vocabulary studied to convey their

ideas effectively

SPECIFIC OBJETIVES During the course development, the students will:

1. Learn and apply grammar rules. 2. Use the correct word order 3. Improve pronunciation 4. Punctuate sentences correctly 5. Capitalize words correctly 6. Enrich their vocabulary 7.
