稀有動物 xī yǒu dòng wù endangered animals

中國有許多稀有動物。其中有不少是十分珍貴的。

zhōng guó yǒu xǔ duō xī yǒu dòng wù, qí zhōng yǒu bù shǎo shì shí fēn zhēn guì de.

China has many endangered animals. Among those, many are extremely precious.

生存的空間 shēng cún de kōng jiānhabitat

但由於人口不斷增加，動物生存的空間越來越小。

dàn yóu yú rén kǒn bú duàn zēn jiā, dòng wù shēng cún de kōng jiān yuè lái yuè xiǎo.

However, because of the increasing population, animal habitats are gradually decreasing.

瀕臨滅絕 bīn lín miè juéon the verge of extinction

有些動物，如華南虎等，已瀕臨滅絕。

Yǒu xiē dòng wù, rú huá nán hǔ děng, yǐ bīn lín miè jué.Certain animals, such as theSouth China Tiger (etc.), are on the verge of extinction.

措施 cuò shī measures

最近幾年 , 中國採取了一些保護動物的措施。

zuì jìn jǐ nián, zhōng guó cǎi qǔ le yì bǎo hù dòng wù de cuò shī.

Recently, China undertook some animal protection measures.

動物保護區 dòng wù bǎo hù qūanimal conservation

並且設立了許多動物保護區。bìng qiě shè lì le xǔ duō dòng wù bǎo hù qū.

Also, they set up many animal conservation habitats.

國寶 guó bǎo national treasure

中國的國寶大熊貓，也得到了很好的保護。

zhōng guó de guó bǎo dà xióng māo, yě dé dào le hěn hǎo de bǎo hù.

China’s national treasure the Giant Panda, also obtained sufficient protection.

薄弱 buó ruò weak

但大多數中國人的動物保護意識還很薄弱。

dàn dà duō shù zhōng guó rén bǎo hù dòng wǔ de yì shì hái hěn buó ruò.

Nevertheless, the desire to protect animals is still weak for the majority of Chinese people.

發展經濟 fā zhǎn jīng jì economic development

很多人常常為了發展經濟而忽略動物保護。

hěn duō rén cháng cháng wèi le fā zhǎn jīng jì ér hū luè le bǎo hù dòng wù.

Many people often overlook animal protection because of economic development.
