Αγαπημένο ημερολόγιο…

Είμαι πολύ χαρούμενος που συναντώ ξανά τους φίλους μου από την Τσεχία, τη Γαλλία, τη Φινλανδία και την Τουρκία, αυτή τη φορά στη Γιάλοβα ! Το 75.YIL ZIYA GÖKALP primary school είναι όμορφο και φιλόξενο σχολείο!Είναι το πέμπτο ταξίδι μας, στο πρόγραμμα «τα μαθηματικά είναι παντού» και ανυπομονώ να διδαχθώ μαθηματικά μέσα από τη μουσική και το θέατρο.Ταξίδεψα μαζί με την κ. Κατερίνα, την κ. Βαρβάρα, την κ. Βάσω και τις συμμαθήτριές μου, Ασημίνα και Κωνσταντίνα.

Dear Diary…

I am very happy to meet again my friends from Czech Republic, France, Finland and Turkey in Yalova, this time! 75. YIL ZIYA GÖKALP Primary School is a beautiful and welcoming school!It is our fifth trip during the project, “Maths is everywhere” and I can’ t wait to study Mathematics through Music and Drama.In this journey I traveled along with Mrs Katerina, Mrs Varvara, Mrs Vaso and my schoolmates, Asiminaand Konstantina.

Πρώτη μέρα στο καινούργιο σχολείο όπου θα πηγαίνουμε όλοι μαζί, για μια ολόκληρη εβδομάδα! Σήμερα, παρακολουθήσαμε μια όμορφη γιορτή για το καλωσόρισμα και γνωρίσαμε τις εγκαταστάσεις του σχολείου.

First day at the new school, in which we will go together for a whole week! Today, we attended a beautiful welcome ceremony and we got familiar with the school facilities.

Monday 29-2-2016

Αργότερα επισκεφτήκαμε το Iznik, μια όμορφη, μικρή παραθαλάσσια πόλη, φημισμένη για την κεραμική τέχνη.

Later we had a visit to Iznik, a beautiful small town, near the sea which is famous for the ceramic art.

Hurray!…I liked a lot Aya Sofya also known as Hagia Sophia (Greek: Ἁγία Σοφία, "Holy Wisdom") which is a Byzantine church building in Nicaea (now Iznik) in Turkey.The church of Hagia Sophia was built by Justinian I in the middle of the city in the 6th century. It was modelled after the larger Hagia Sophia in Constantinople.

χτισμένος στη Νίκαια της Βιθυνίας,

(τώρα Iznik) στην Τουρκία.

Η εκκλησία της Αγίας Σοφίας

χτίστηκε από τον Ιουστινιανό τον I

στο κέντρο της πόλης τον 6ο αιώνα.

Ήταν σχεδιασμένη σύμφωνα με το

μεγαλύτερο ναό της Αγίας Σοφίας

στην Κωνσταντινούπολη.

Tuesday 1-3-2016

In the first workshop¨Mathematics and drama¨ we have made puppet, used socks and geometrical shapes and played drama with them. We enjoyed it very much!

Στο πρώτο εργαστήριο«Μαθηματικά και Θέατρο»φτιάξαμε κούκλες, χρησιμοποιώντας κάλτσες και γεωμετρικά σχήματα και μ΄αυτές παίξαμε κουκλοθέατρο. Μας άρεσε πολύ!

Ευχαριστηθήκαμε επίσης τα θεατρικά παιχνίδια !

Η εκδρομή μας στην Προύσα που ακολούθησε ήταν θαυμάσια εμπειρία! Έμαθα ότι είναι η τέταρτη μεγαλύτερη πόλη της Τουρκίας και γνωστή για τα χιονοδρομικά κέντρα του όρους Ουλού, (= Όλυμπος), τα μαυσωλεία των Οθωμανών Σουλτάνων, και την εύφορη πεδιάδα που την περιβάλλει. Η πόλη κατέχει σημαντική θέση στην γαστρονομία της Τουρκίας (πχ İskender Kebap, "μαρόν-γκλασέ, δηλ. ζαχαρωμένα κάστανα” ). Η πόλη είναι γνωστή για την αρχιτεκτονική της. Υπάρχουν πολλά όμορφα και σημαντικά κτήρια: Το σπίτι του Ατατούρκ, το αρχαιολογικό μουσείο, το Ουλού Τζαμί, το Πράσινο Τζαμί κ.ά.

Our trip to Bursa which followed was a marvelous experience! I have learned that Bursa is the fourth largest city in Turkey. The city is known for its ski resorts of Mount Oulu (= Olympus), the mausoleums of Ottoman Sultans, and the fertile plain that surrounds it. The city occupies an important place in Turkish gastronomy, (eg İskender Kebap, "maroon -gklase ", ie. candied chestnuts (in Turkish. Kestane Şekeri),The city is also known for its architecture. There are many beautiful and important buildings: The house of Ataturk, archaeological museum, Oulu Mosque, the Green Mosque (Yeşil Camıı) etc.

Τι χαρά !...πήγαμε και στο μουσείο του καραγκιόζη στην Προύσα.

What a joy!... we went also to Karagöz  art house in Bursa.

An interesting part of the day was when we went to the Science and Technological center and then to Covered Bazaar. Yeah!…The girls enjoyed shopping very much!

Chora Monastery

Στις ψηφιδωτές παραστάσεις της Μονής της Χώρας αντικατοπτρίζεται το λεπτό γούστο του χορηγού τους Θεοδώρου Μετοχίτη (1270-1332), που υπήρξε ένας από τους πιο μορφωμένους και διάσημους βυζαντινούς του 14ου αιώνα, γνώστης της αρχαίας ελληνικής γραμματείας και επιστήμης και λάτρης της αρχαίου κάλλους.

Τι φοβερή εμπειρία να δω την υπέροχη Μονή της Χώρας, στο ταξίδι μας στην Κωνσταντινούπολη. Δεν είναι μεγάλο κτίσμα όπως άλλες βυζαντινές εκκλησίες της Κωνσταντινούπολης, αλλά ξεχωρίζει για το κάλλος του εσωτερικού της χώρου. Ο «Χριστός Χώρα των Ζώντων» και η «Θεοτόκος Χώρα του Αχωρήτου» πλαισιώνουν τις εισόδους προς τους χώρους του κυρίως ναού και του Ιερού Βήματος.

What a great experience to see the beautiful Chora Monastery, in our trip to Constantinople .It is not a big building like other Byzantine churches of Constantinople , but stands out for the beauty of the interior space. "Christ as the Land of the Living“(ἡ Χώρα των ζώντων, hē Chōra tōn zōntōn) and "Mary as the Container of the Uncontainable (ἡ Χώρα του Ἀχωρήτου, hē Chōra tou Achōrētou), flanking the entrances to the spaces of the nave and the sanctuary.

The mosaics of the Chora monastery reflected the delicate taste of their sponsor, Theodore Metochites (Θεόδωρος Μετοχίτης 1270-1332), who was one of the most educated and famous Byzantine in 14th-century, connoisseur of ancient Greek literature and science and fond of ancient beauty.

Miniatürk park

Wonderful…it is one of the world's largest miniature parks with its 15,000 m2 model area. The park contains 122 models in 1:25 scale. It contains structures from in and around Turkey, as well as interpretations of historic structures.

Στο δεύτερο εργαστήριο«Μαθηματικά και Μουσική»υπολογίσαμε και μετρήσαμε τις νότες. Φτιάξαμε επίσης μαράκες και τραγουδήσαμε με πολύ κέφι!

In the second workshop“Mathematics and Music” we calculated and counted the notes. We made also maracas and sang altogether with a lot of fun!

“Bravo !! Good Job for students and teachers!” That’s the words of the director of the school, Mr. Muharrem Özdemir, as he was saying goodbye to all of us.

We really enjoyed our staying at this school. It was a great experience!Bye bye my dear friends and thank you very much for everything.Goodbye Turkey, goodbye Yalova !

Biz gerçekten bu okulda kalmak zevk. Bu büyük bir deneyim oldu! Güle güle sevgili arkadaşlar ve her şey için çok teşekkür ederim.Elveda Türkiye, güle güle Yalova!

I am looking forward to meeting each other again in Finland this time.Hurray!!...We ‘ll meet again in Helsinki !!
