Currently the automotive industry is growing very rapidly. This is evidenced by the increased number of vehicles being added to every year. Manufacturing company is a company that requires a process with the use of material plenty and of course this will result in the company have a waste is not small in the process.

This study focuses on the tools / techniques of lean manufacturing is Value Stream Mapping (VSM) by referring to research done by S. Vinodh, K.R Arvind and M. Somanaathan camshaft in a manufacturing organization in India (2011). Where the production process to be conducted in this study consisted of three activities, that are compound, assembling, and curing.

In a effort to increase productivity, companies must be aware of activities that can increase the value-added (value added) of product (goods / services) and eliminate unnecessary activities (waste), therefore we need a lean approach. Comprehension of the conditions described in the company’s Big Picture Mapping. Waste of identified by seven waste, then performed a detailed mapping of the Stream Value Stream Analysis Tools (VALSAT).

This study uses assistance program (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 17 of SPSS in analyzing the influence of independent variables with the dependent variable. This study analyzed using linear regression by examining the regression coefficients of standardized beta coefficient (β), r, R 2 or adjusted R2, and its significance.

Based on the calculations have been performed on the data processing phase of the obtained value of Process cycle efficiency of 66,95 %. This shows that the process has been streamlined since the PCE was above 25 %. Test on the issue showed that the compound have an influence on the identification of waste. This means that only the compounds are affecting the identification of waste in the production activities of manufacturing the green tire A70 so that the process can increase productivity. While in the process of assembling and curing does not improve productivity.
