The Philippines is an archipelago (eyjahaf) of 7,107 islands (high tide)

divided into three main island groups.

The largest island, Luzon (108 171 sq.km.), is slightly larger than Iceland

(103000 sq.km.)

Our highest peak Mt. Apo (2954 meters above sea level) is slightly

higher than Hvannadalshnúkur (2109.6 meters above sea level) but

there is no snow.

The Philippine population hit 101.5 million this year (2015). There are

10.2 million who live overseas.
