Target Audience

• From our target audience research we had a particular demographic we were trying to target which were young males.

• We then organised a questionnaire on survey monkey and from the results the most popular age range was 17-21.

• Which altered the way in which we carried out our project as we had a demographic to appeal to.

Questionnaire

In regards to our questionnaire we asked questions that helped us establish who are target audience is. For example question 2 asked what gender they were which showed more males took the questionnaire, we also asked “who would you prefer the main character to be ? Male or female” we had a overwhelming response requesting a male to take the lead role. We also asked what made a good crime thriller and we acknowledged that our target demographic felt the fighting scene and the actors/actresses made a good crime thriller. So we took this into consideration, by trying to appeal to our target audience, so we casted a male as our main character, we also included fighting scenes.

• From the audience feedback I could determine that the favourites colours for a crime thriller was grey, red and black.

• So in order to appeal to my demographic I chose those 3 main colours. I had my title in red, my tag line in black and the background had both black and grey.

• My target audience wanted the actor to be on the move, so I had my actor slightly on the move, to appeal to them.

• I had my actor holding the iconic

gun looking into the distance.

• My film poster had my actor on the move, from the audience feedback the target demographic preferred this.

• The actor was pointing the gun, I wanted my target audience to be drawn in.
