Future direction: creating DFCs• Integrating DFC principles with the current age friendly

initiatives• Resources to support the inclusion of the views and voices of

people living with dementia in their community• Building community understanding of dementia through

dementia friends initiative • Working with schools to raise awareness in younger people

about dementia• Collaborations with local community organizations to provide

education on dementia in order to support continued involvement of people with dementia in community activities
