Kislovodsk is located in the pictures land, surrounded with

slopes of the main Caucasian ridge. In the late 19th and early 20th centuris, Kislovodsk was home to many musicians, artists, and members of the Russian. Lived in the city Nobel Prize winner Aleksander Solzhenitsynan, artist Nicolai Yaroshenko.

Also, several of the events in the story a hero of our time  by Mikhail Lermontov were set in.

Kislovodsk is famous for curative air, park and narzan. High in the mountains there is Olympic facility for the

My name is Lera. I am 13 years old. I live in Russia. My city is Kislovodsk. It is located in Stavropol Krai. Kislovodsk is not so large city as Moscow or St. Petersburg,, but I love it very much, it is my Motherland. If you like sports, you will love Kislovodsk. It is home of the famous sportsmen.

And in our school there are many good sportsmen too. I am definitely not athletic, but I like sports. I enjoy playing volleyball.

There are many stadiums, sport grounds, swimming pools, gyms and tennis

courts in Kislovodsk. High in the mountains there is Olympic facility for the preparation of sportsmen of our country. We are proud of our Sports complex

"Olympic“. Olympic stadium Kislovodsk is a unique sports training centre, the only one located in the resort, in the mountains of the Caucasus.

Today, the Olympic complex conducts training and preparation of sports teams

in the city of Kislovodsk in practically all sports. Here come the team before the World Championships and Europe, before the Olympic games. Climatic conditions and geographical conditions of the location of Olympic sports complex (Kislovodsk) promote excellent academic training and preparation for the upcoming competitions.

Its many-accoladed training staff offer 15 Olympicsports – athletics, handball, triathlon, pentathlon, boxing, wrestling,football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, judo, equestriansports, gymnastics, tae-kwan-do and trampolining – plus shotokan karate.

Evgeniy KuznetsovToday he is the world's No.2 in synchroniseddiving from 3m and No.3 individual diver;the Russian, world youth and European (twice) champion; and a many-time winner of the heats of the Grand Prix.He won his first medal at 9. After his victory at the World Youth Championships in 2005 he was capped for the Russian youth team, and three years later he entered the adult side.

But I know that this will not be the last generation of sports stars to be raised in Stavropol Krai.

In our shool we have a teacher, who helps us love sport. It is Bitarov Vasiliy Nikolayevich.

In 1979 he was awarded the badge «excellent worker

of public educationа, in 1985 he was awarded the

badge «excellent worker of education of the USSR.

In1993 he was awarded the high title «Honoured

teacher of school of the Russian Federation .

During the period of its work he has prepared about 200 athletes

volleyballу , basketball, sports tourism.

Sports teams Lyceum take part in city competitions.

A team of basketball players and the volleyball players almost always occupied I place.

During 5 years the team of the Lyceum takes the first place in the Olympics schools of the city.

Every Olympics and every national or European or worldchampionships we celebrate in the Krai.
