19. Using Vlib Vlib is a Self Service bike hire system
available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Multi pick up and drop off
location allows you to pick up your bike from one service point and
drop off to another. +Collecting a bike Collecting your bike
couldnt be easier! Just go up to any of our self service stations :
- Identify yourself on the terminal - Access the menu - Choose your
bike from our wide selection SAVE TIME ! If you hold an annual Vlib
card you can collect your bike directly from the bike stand.
+Taking your bike back Finished with your bike? Simply do the drop
off at any of our Vlib Service Points and youre done.
20. Service points The Vlib Service Points are available 24
hours a day 7 days a week. It is located 300 meters apart,
consisting of terminals and stands for fastening the bikes. Vlib
terminal allows you to -Hire a bike - Take a short term
subscription using your bank card (1-day or 7-day Vlib Ticket) -

regarding our services - Consult a map for a nearby Vlib Service
Points - Top up your annual Vlib card using a bank card The bike
stands Every Vlib station is equipped with roughly twenty bike
stands (the exact number has been determined depending on the
location of the Service Point and the estimated level of use). The
Bike Stands consists of : Bike locking mechanism Pilot light (the
color of the pilot lights lets you know whether the bike is
available or not) Card Reader SAVE TIME! Hold an annual Vlib card
and you can collect a bike anytime without using the terminals.
Simply swipe your card through the reader on the bike stand
itself.
21. Bikes Vlib has made several thousand bikes available. And
your comfort and safety are guaranteed on every one of them.

the bike, and the rear light stays on for 120 seconds after the

22. Cycle safety The Vlib Service Points are available 24 hours
a day 7 days a week. It is located 300 meters apart, consisting of
terminals and stands for fastening the bikes. Cycle safety Dont
forget to observe the Highway Code and abide by the rules of safe
cycling. Always remember to be considerate and be on the look out
for other road users. Good to know! Your domestic multi-risk
insurance policy may cover risks associated with civil liability
during a bike trip*. * Please check with your policy to ensure
appropriate coverage. Tips for Safe Cycling - Watch out for other
road users - Dont use pedestrian crossing - Dont overtake vehicles
on the right (you will be on the drivers blind spot) - Use
designated bike paths whenever possible - Dont get too close on
park cars (doors opening) - When traveling in groups, travel in a
single file. - Dont go onto or cycle on the pavement - Dont carry
passenger on your bike - Never run a red light - Dont lend your
bike or your Vlib card to others - Dont go the wrong way down a
one-way street (except for cycle contra flows) - Even on short
stops, dont forget to use the bike stand and the anti-theft lock
provided to you. - Always use your arm signals - Check all safety
items before setting off on your journey (lights, brakes, tires) -
Make yourself visible at night by wearing reflective clothing -
Keep to the right of the road (unless there are specific
modifications) - IT IS RECOMMENDED TO WEAR A HELMET - Respect the
rules of priority to the right.
