HEAT SHUT-OFF SCHEDULE

Sailors on board Fleet Activities (FLEACT) Yokosuka will shift to summer uniforms beginning 0001 on Monday, May 15.

If you visited the Miharashi Onsen in Hiroshima Prefecture during March, please contact your Primary Care Manager. There have been several cases of Legionnaires’ disease associated with visiting this onsen. This disease is not contagious and presents symptoms similar to pneumonia.

COMMENT: It is disheartening to have your child in Level 4 swim class and then have to resort to a lower level class because of scheduling. April’s online swim schedule had two listed Level 4 classes both starting at 2:45 p.m. This afternoon, I was told there were three Level 4 swim classes; however all these classes begin at 2:45. This is not ideal for families traveling from Ikego, especially because school dismisses at 2:15. This is not an isolated

SULLIVANS FIELD DAY VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

Sullivans Elementary is looking for 30 volunteers to assist with their eld day event on June 2 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Volunteers will meet at 7:30 a.m. Call 243-7336/2575 for more information.

incident. For the past several months that our daughter has taken swim lessons, there does not appear to be any consistency or thoughtful planning for kids who are currently enrolled and their needs for the next session. I know of several families (who because of scheduling issues) had to resort to placing their child in the level below their current level just to get them into a spot. I feel that every e ort should be made at each swim level to meet the

scheduling needs of families from both Yokosuka and Ikego.

RESPONSE: Thank you for your feedback on our Quality of Life programs in Yokosuka. We really strive to accommodate as many people as possible and make every e ort to meet the scheduling needs of families from both Yokosuka and Ikego. It is unfortunate in this situation that we were unable to take care of

your speci c needs. MWR Aquatics has been very short-sta ed over the last few months and have been forced to move swim lessons around to di erent times to try and hit as many needs as possible. As sta ng levels increase, we will be able to start o ering more classes to the community. Next month we expect to o er Level 4 at a later time in the day.

In support of the Spring Bazaar, the Fleet Rec parking garage will be closed starting April 7 at 11:59 p.m. until April 18 at 4 p.m.
