Georgia Parent Survey
The Georgia Parent Survey can be completed usingpersonal computers, smartphones or iPADS. For parentsthat do not have access to the Internet, please come toGSMST to complete the Georgia Parent Survey atschool. All parents are encouraged to participate in theGeorgia Parent Survey because the data will be used tocalculate the School Climate Star Rating. Surveyresponses are anonymous and will be submitted directly to the GeorgiaDepartment of Education for analysis.
Gale receives Honorable Mention from White House StudentFilm Festival
Senior, Janel Gale receives Honorable Mention: "On behalf of the White House, we want to thank you so much for yoursubmission to the 2015 White House Student Film Festival. Scholar's Bowl Team wins!
GSMST's Junior Varsity Scholar's Bowl team competed at the JV StateChampionships at Locust Grove High School. The GSMST JV teamconsisting of Praful Gade, Vaishnavi Merugu, Abinav Routhu, ShrutiSanthanam, David Stewart, Sebastian Williams, and captain Apurva Routhu wonfirst place in their division, going undefeated throughout the entiretournament. Congratulations students!

Jack Andraka: Guest Speaker March 24th atGSMST

Rising Juniors and Seniors: Emory University internship
If you are interested in interning with Emory University Department of Chemistry,please RSVP to Ms. D'Antonio for an information session on March 26th duringGuided Study; please RSVP no later than March 19th at 3:00 p.m. Students willbe asked to bring their resume and letter of intent to the meeting. Limitedpositions are available. Only students with high achievement in Chemistry andstrong interests in research should apply. Transportation is not provided. Youwill need to provide your own transportation to the Emory University campus.

GSMST Relay for Life2nd annual 5K run
GSMST is holding its 2nd annual 5K on Friday, March27th after school. Registration is now closed, but plan tocome out and support the 5K participants.
GSMST Study Abroad Opportunities
Spanish: The itinerary for GSMST's 2015 Study Abroadtrip has recently changed! Our trip will now includeMORE Spanish history, art, and language as it willhighlight Spain's capital city, Madrid and the formercapital, Toledo. German:Students can also participate in a June 2015 trip to Germany. There isstill time to sign up. Our trip is called Prussia, Bohemia, Bavaria. GSMST STUDYABROAD GERMANY 2015. There is also the opportunity to stay with a Germanfamily and attend a German high school for two weeks in addition to the ninedaytour.

Tutoring OpportunitiesNHS and Beta Club
National Honor Society and Beta Club provide tutoring to all GSMST students fora wide variety of subjects. If you would like help, go to the GSMST eCLASShomepage and sign up on the document available. A tutor will contact you to setup when and where to meet. Tutoring can be done around your schedule, butMs. Covin's and Mr. Hersch's rooms will be available most days after school for aquiet place to tutor if needed.
GSMST Final Exam Exemption Policy
Honor Graduates (cumulative GPA of 90.0 as of January 2015) are eligible toexempt the exam in any class period with 3 or fewer absences (no matter thegrade.) Other seniors are eligible to exempt the exam in any class period inwhich they have 90.0 average (after 10 points added to AP classes) as of 5/1/15and they have 3 or fewer absences.
