Please note that players must purchase their sports attire and some equipment at CK Embroideries for the
tour and season. These items must be purchased:

We still need sponsors to reduce the costs, as we have approached several businesses without success. We
would really appreciate if you could help us to get some equipment or sports attire sponsored.
Attached is important documentation regarding the NWU Hockey Clinic, indemnity and medical
information, which you need to fill out and return to your coach before or on 16 March 2015. Please
ensure that you also submit a copy of your ID or birth certificate.
We need to leave at 09:00 on Thursday 26 March 2015. We will therefore meet in front of the hall at
Bergvlam no later than 08:30. No player will be allowed on the bus unless all the required documentation
has been submitted and all funds have been paid. We are expected to return between 17:00 and 18:00 on
Tuesday 31 March 2015. Parents are requested to remain in contact with their children in order to fetch
them on time.

Pre-seisoen se paradys
Die Noordwes-Universiteit in Potchefstroom bied ʼn pre-seisoen- hokkie-afrigtingskliniek en –toernooi aan
vir O/18 seuns- en meisiesspanne. Dit is ʼn fantastiese geleentheid vir afrigters en vir spelers om individuele
aandag te kry, asook om sommige van die nuutste vaardighede en tegnieke te leer wat gebruik word deur
internasionale supersterre van oor die hele wêreld. Die kursus is ontwerp om jou ʼn gebalanseerde en
berekende mengsel te gee van opleidingsessies, spanbousessies sowel as 25 wedstryde, om die spanne
voldoende voor te berei voor die begin van nog ʼn bedrywige seisoen. Dit is jou kans om ʼn stappie voor jou
aartsvyande te wees, en dit gee jou span die geleentheid om in elke wedstryd daardie oorwinnings te behaal
waaroor hulle die hele jaar droom.
Die Noordwes-Universiteit is trots daarop om van die beste geriewe in die land te hê, en ons wil dit graag
met jou deel. Afgesien van ons twee watergebaseerde kunsmatige oppervlaktes, sal spelers ook kan oefen
op die grasvelde by die Fanie Du Toit-sportterrein, wat beskou word as van die beste grasvelde in die land.
Gedurende die tyd wat die spelers en afrigters in Potchefstroom deurbring, sal alle hokkieverwante
vaardighede – taktiese sowel as tegniese vaardighede – vir die veldspelers sowel as doelwagters gedek word.
Die hoofafrigter vir die kliniek sal Elun Hack wees, wat sedert sy aansluiting by die NWU-PUK-
afrigtingspan verantwoordelik was vir verskeie suksesvolle toernooie, waaronder 1 goue, 1 silwer en 1 brons
toekenning by die jaarlikse USSA-toernooi. In 2013 was die NOORDWES-UNIVERSITEIT-PUK-
Damespan onoorwonne in die hele Varsity Sport Hokkietoernooi, en het slegs in die finale ronde verloor, en
het die silwer medalje verower. Elun se betrokkenheid by hoëprestasie-afrigting en by afrigtersontwikkeling
in die streek beteken dat hy in die materiaal wat aangebied word, fokus op die behoeftes van die afrigters en
van die spelers. Johan Jacobs sal verantwoordelik wees vir alle administratiewe aspekte van die kliniek.
Die studente-afrigters sal ons nasionale spelers Sulette Damons, Celia Evans en Anelle van Deventer insluit,
asook verskeie nasionale ouderdomsgroepspelers.
Pre-season in Paradise
The North-West University, situated in Potchefstroom will be hosting a pre-season Hockey coaching clinic
and tournament for U/18 Girls and Boys teams. This is a fantastic opportunity for coaches and players alike
to get individual attention, as well as learn some of the latest skills and techniques used by international
super stars from all over the world. The course is designed to give you a balanced and calculated mix of
training sessions, team building sessions as well as 25 matches to prepare the teams sufficiently before the
start of yet another hectic season. This is your chance to get one step ahead of your arch-rivals, and give
your team every chance of winning the matches they dream about all year.
The North-West University is proud to have some of the best facilities in the country, and would love to
share these with you. Along with our two water based artificial surfaces, players will also get to train on the
grass fields at the Fanie Du Toit Sports Grounds, which are considered some of the best grass fields in the
country. During the time spent in Potchefstroom, all hockey related skills, tactical and technical, for field
players as well as goalies will be covered.
The Head Coach for the Clinic will be Elun Hack, who since joining the NWU-PUK Coaching staff, has
enjoyed several successful tournaments, which include 1 Gold, 1 Silver and 1 Bronze at the annual USSA
tournament. In 2013 the NWU-PUK Ladies Team were undefeated throughout the Varsity Sports Hockey
Tournament, losing out in the Final and claiming the silver medal. Elun’s involvement with High
Performance Coaching, as well as Coaching Development in the region means he will address the needs of
the coaches as well as the players in the material that is presented. Johan Jacobs will be responsible for all
administrative aspects of the clinics.
The student Coaches will include our National Players, Sulette Damons, Celia Evans and Anelle van
Deventer, as well as several National Age Group Players.

Alle spanne sal ewe veel opleidingsessies en
wedstryde kry op die Astro-baan en grasvelde.
Wat nie op die program aangedui word nie, is die
spanbousessies en die sessies met sprekers,
waarby elke span ook betrokke sal wees in die
loop van die kliniek.
All teams will get the same number of Training
sessions as well as matches on the Astro Turf and
grass fields. Not indicated on the program are the
team building sessions, as well as sessions with
guest speakers, with which each of the teams will be
involved during the course of the clinic.

or services of any medical attention that my child may receive in such an emergency.
10. I accept that the staff of Hoërskool Bergvlam will take all reasonable responsibility for my child, and act in accordance with this. I hereby release Hoërskool Bergvlam and the staff of any claims with regard to injury, damage or loss of items or life that may occur.
