UMass Bstn: the Navitas advantageTe international pathway programconsists o or-credit and other non-credit support courses which provide anacademic bridge rom your high schoolexperience to studying in a university degree program in the United States.Upon successul completion o yourNavitas program, you will progress to year 2 o your degree studies, earning 

UMass Boston credits rom day one.

  Earn 30 credits (up to 10 coursemodules) o your UMass Bostondegree and Year 2 standing.

  Have your coursework andacademic standing recordedon the university’s transcripts.

  Receive a packaged English + Academic visa that lasts or the entire duration o study (up to 5 years).

  No reapplication to the university or visa transer when you enter Year 2.

  Be eligible to work through academicinternships (CP) and ull-time or one year ater graduation (OP).

Navitas at UMass Boston oers an alternative pathway to UMass Boston or

international students who may not qualiy or direct entry to a UMass undergraduate

or graduate degree and/or who seek a supportive study environment.

This program is equivalent to the rst year o selectdegree programs at UMass Boston. To progress to thesecond year o your degree, during the UPP you mustcomplete 10 courses equal to a minimum o 30 credithours and achieve good academic standing. Thesecourses are usually completed within three semesters(one year).

PMP Pre-Master’s Program 550/213/79 TOEFLCompletion o a recognizedundergraduate degree

The PMP is a two-semester program designed orstudents who have completed their bachelor’s degree andwho need or seek additional support to gain entry to theUMass Boston master’s program.

Classes take place Monday through Friday between 8.00am and 4.00pm, or a total o 20–24 hours per week.

 Ater completion o your Intensive English program with UMass Boston, you will notbe required to take IELS/OEFL. Navitasat UMass Boston students will receive a5-year I-20 to cover the entire durationo English + degree studies. Tere is no

transer or re-application process with Navitas.
