Multipurpose facility (disaster relief facility) built in March 2012. It has a 160 m2 hall, bath, and kitchen. It can be used for a fee by town residents or people from other places.
Hachidai-ryuoishigami, Takaishiwara (place name) is written on the Chikuzen Province records. The dragon lord rock was believed by many seamen working in the fisheries business. The spirit of the deity is said to be contained in this naturally formed rock on the west coast of the island that is 750 cm around, 256 cm across, and 216 cm high.
The distant view guard house ruins are on a high mountain on the west tip that offers a view of the Genkai-nada Sea. A stone wall reminding of the past remains. A lighthouse was built in 1976 to watch over the safety of ships travelling offshore.

Built by the Fukuoka domain in 1682 to greet the Korean Emissary. The Sakihato quay and Maehato quay were built by the islanders in two months. The Maehato quay is currently the pier of the town-run ferry, Shinguu, where the lord of the Tsushima Domain and his attendants landed. The Sakihato quay is where the Korean Emissary landed.

Ainoshima Stone Tumuli
Regent Shioi’s Stones
In the Imjin War led by Toyotomi Hideyoshi, as armies from each country headed towards Nagoya castle on the sea route, they stopped at Ainoshima and picked up rocks from the shore to pray to the Statue of Senju Kannon for safe sailing and victory in war. This is a mountain of those stones.
On Nagai beach on the northeast of the island, there are ancient stone tumuli (burial mounds) from the middle to late Kofun period. These ancient burial mounds are not covered in earth like usual ones, but are covered in stones, and 254 graves have been found.*Designated a National Historic Site on August 7, 2001.
This rock made completely of basalt stands on the sea 300 m to the east of the island. It is 20 m high and 100 m around and it contains a marine cave that is a popular fishing spot.*Designated a prefectural site of scenic beauty along with the Hanazura Peninsula on February 21, 2006.
