Dear Colleagues and Friends,
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the 25th EACMFS Congress held in Paris, France, September 15-18, 2020.
This will be the golden anniversary of our Association,
symbolizing 50 years of advancing science. The EACMFS has
grown over the years to become one of the most important
conference in the world in the field of Cranio Maxillo Facial
Surgery. This is due to the leadership of the EACMFS, the quality
of the scientific program in previous EACMFS congresses,
together with the tremendous support of distinguished
international faculty and companies. The Scientific Committee,
led by my esteemed colleague Prof. Joel Ferri, is motivated
and enthusiastic to build a fantastic and an unforgettable
EACMFS 2020 scientific program in Paris.
We will invite the most prominent experts to headline the
scientific program, to share their knowledge and experience
with the delegates and to discuss newly developed technologies.
We will also hope to attract a significant number of young CMF
surgeons from Europe and the rest of the world as we believe
that they will soon become the task force for the EACMFS
and CMF in general. Of course, nothing will be accomplished
without your attendance and active participation. We promise
to do our best to involve each of you in our program. We trust
that you will have an amazing professional experience during
your stay in Paris and that you will learn from the engaged
speakers and key opinion leaders. The scientific program will
continue the tradition of the previous EACMFS congresses
and will include, original research with oral and poster
presentations, State-of-the-Art Lectures, Plenary Sessions,
plus many joint sessions with other Guest Societies,
The meeting will be held in Paris, “Ville Lumiere”, one of the
world’s most attractive destinations. Thanks to an excellent
cooperation with our PCO Torres Pardo and the local Co PCO,
Viparis, the Congress will be perfectly organized in The Palais
des Congres which is a strategic place in Paris, located in the
west part of the city, close to the Champs Elysees and the
Arc de Triomphe and within walking distance from numerous
comfortable hotels. It is also a well-known location for
shows, concerts and stores. Aside from Cranio-Maxillo-Facial
Surgery, Paris is well known for fashion, culture, cuisine and
entertainment. It benefits from a very convenient metro and
bus transportation system, but do not hesitate to rent bikes or
e-scooters to discover the whole city, enjoy the banks of the
Seine and all the Parisian jewels. Also remember to take time
to have a drink in the many Parisian cafes. Participants will be
able to enjoy the beauty of Paris, the Eiffel tower, the Louvre
Museum, Montmartre, either before or after the meeting,
as well as the idyllic rest of France, Versailles Castle, the
Loire Valley and its amazing castles, the Mont Saint-Michel,
Fontainebleau, Giverny... Victor Hugo said that “Respirer Paris,
cela conserve l’ame”, that you can translate as “Breathing
Paris keeps your soul”, and Hemingway wrote “If you are lucky
enough to have lived in Paris as a young man, then wherever
you go for the rest of your life, it stays with you, for Paris is a
moveable feast.” As all the Parisians who love their beautiful
city, we are convinced that this Congress will not only be
scientifically exciting but also that you will fall in love with Paris.
