History
2004
After proposal in the regional parliament is approved,
Born as a public project by Shibuya local government .
But it's stuck. Because that idea is quite different from their way.
2005
Not a government initiative, we have proposed that re-established as
a citizen-driven project. That is NPO, SHIBUYA DAIGAKU.
2006
In September 2006, the completion of the registration as an NPO.
Attracted an audience of 1,500 people, we held founding event.

The new form of community-based learning and community-building
Changing our Life through Learning
In Japan, among the rapidly changing social environment, people who suffer from stress and anxiety need learning opportunity .
Because, Learning is the most basic activity to change our life and make our life and our society better.
However, the acquisition of qualifications for the reputation and cultural school as a business is not enough to our needs.
We decide to make the new form of learning system for the every people to getting life wisdom to survive ,
to enjoy our ordinary life, to build our Local community and society
現在、日本社会は激しい変化の波にさらされている。その中で、日々の生活、人生に不安やストレスを抱える人々は、
自らの手で自らの人生を豊かなものにするための機会、つまり、学びの機会を必要としている。しかし、社会的に評価を得るためだけの
資格や学位の取得、或いは教育ビジネスとしてのカルチャースクール等は、今、多くの人々に必要とされている、
現代を生き抜くための知恵や、人生をより豊かに楽しむための学びの機会というニーズを満たすことはない。
Building our Local Community by ourselves Everyday, we go for work, take lunch, play with friends, grow children and take care of the elderly in our local community.
Though Information society caused a change in lifestyle, the importance of the community doesn’t change in our daily lives.
But now, who are facing seriously and taking action for the change for the various issues of the community? Local
Government? Private company? Civil society organizations and businesses town council meetings? Unfortunately, the answer
Is No. Local Government regarded the leaders of community organizations from the old people and some that claim as their
"customers", and it is consumers and investors for the company. Involved only a small portion of people living in the
community in the old civic organizations. Who is needed to be committed? The answer is each one of us. Envision a city
where we want to live. It is important that we grow up our community by ourselfs collaborating with Local government, private
company, old regional activities and NPO has been successful.
通勤、通学、ランチや夕食を食べ、友達と遊び、子どもを育て、高齢者のお世話をする。情報化社会がライフスタイルに劇的な変化を起こしたとして
も、私たちの日々の暮らしにおいて地域社会の重要性は変わらない。では、いま、地域社会の様々な課題に対し、誰が真剣に向き合い、変化のた
めに行動を起こしているだろうか? 行政?企業?町会や商店会、PTAなどの市民団体? 答えは、残念ながら、NO。行政は意見を発する一部の
人々や古くからの地域団体の長たちを“顧客”とみなし、企業にとってそれは消費者や投資家たちのこと。市民団体には地域社会に暮らすごく一部
の人しか関わっていない。ではどうすればいいのだろう?誰のコミットが必要なのか?答えは、私たち一人ひとり。私たち市民が、私たちが暮らした
いと思う街を思い描くこと。そして一人ひとりが主体となり行政や企業、地域の様々な活動と連携しながら“街を育てていく”ことが大事なんだと思う。
