Sokyo Gallery is delighted to present an online exhibition, Breeze -Art Journey. The exhibition

intends to present a new perspective of “Art Journey” to connect with individuals who have been cut

off by social distancing. This exhibition was planned under the social background of the global spread

of the new coronavirus and the spreading mood of self-restraint. Now, the social distancing policies

launched by many countries are certainly break all direct connection with others. This is not only true

for human relations, but also for making people to take the distance from the connection with nature.

Normally, under the clear sky, beautiful flowers bloom, May is the best season for activities. If it was

the same as before, many people would probably have been welcomed at the beginning of the new

schoolyear, or used to travel during Golden Week. Perhaps it was an act of enjoying the relationship

with others and nature under the sun.

I was wondering if there is a way to feel the refreshing breeze between the young leaves and flowers

in this season. In this unprecedent situation of today, Art can be the one that can complement our mood

or take us to the new experience of journey. In order to examine these questions, the works of fifteen

artists gathered together. Various forms of art work take us on a journey of art. In this exhibition, you

will encounter the geometric abstract beauty that exists in the nature, as if flowers show different

appearances every year, endless mountain ridges or the mysterious creatures that combine animals and

various inorganic substances; Through this experience, we reconsider our past experiences. Now that

it is difficult to appreciate art physically but I am hoping that this exhibition could present to have the

brand-new opportunity to explore esthetic experience within ourselves. Human creativity is infinite,

and I hope this exhibition will remind us of importance of art to maintain a creative living.

Kazuhito KAWAI was born 1984 in Ibaraki. Currently, lives and works in Ibaraki, Japan. He received

B.A. University of the Arts London, Chelsea College of Art and Design, Fine Art in 2007. Graduate

program Kasama College of Ceramic Art in 2018. Art fairs include Art Kyoto (2019); Design Miami

(2019); Art Basel in Miami Beach (2019). Awards include Shibuya Awards 2018 (2018). Collection

includes Takahashi Collection, Tokyo, Japan.

Toru KUROKAWA was born 1984 in Kyoto, Japan. Currently lives and works in Kyoto, Japan. He

received B.F.A. University of Tsukuba, Ibaraki, Japan in 2007. M.F.A. Kyoto City Universof Arts,

Hiroe NAKAO was born 1986 in Fukuoka, Japan. Currently lives and works in Fukuoka, Japan.

She received B.A. Kyoto City University of Arts, Kyoto, Japan in 2011. Awards include Selected

Special Exhibition Second Prize, Sessu International Art Association Japanese Painting

(2014 ,Grand Prize 2016); 5th of Shoku Japanese Painting New Exhibition; Dedicated work for

Koyasan Ekoin Temple (2018).

Harumi NAKASHIMA was born 1950 in Gifu, Japan. Currently lives and works in Gifu, Japan. He

received B.A. Osaka Art College, majoring in ceramics in 1973. Professor at Aichi University of

Education 2003-2014. Special Professor 2014-2016. Currently an official member of I.A.C. Director

of Tajimi city pottery design and technical center. Awards include The Second Award : Mainichi ID

Award (1980); Gold Prize: International Ceramics Art Exhibition Mino '95, Gifu, Japan (1995);

Tomohiro MIYABE was born 1968 in Gifu, Japan. Currently lives and works in Aichi, Japan. He

International Ceramics Competition MINO, Gifu, Japan; Nomination Prize, Chozansho Ceramics

Aya MORI was born 1989 in Tokyo, Japan. Currently lives and works in Aichi, Japan. She received

Heecheng YOON was born 1963 in Hyogo, Japan. Currently lives and works in Tokyo, Japan.

He received M.A., Tama Art University, Tokyo in 1988, An agency for cultural affairs overseas

trainees in U.K. for one year. An agency for cultural affairs overseas Special trainees for research at

The British Museum in U.K. for one year. Currently, He is a professor for craft at Tama Art University.

この度、現代美術⾋居ではオンライン展覧会『⾵薫る -芸術の旅-』を開催致します。本展では、“社会的隔離”により断たれた⼈々とのつながりを「芸術の旅」という新しい視点で皆様にご案内します。

本展は、新型コロナウイルスの世界的蔓延、広がる⾏動⾃粛ムードという社会的背景のもと企画されました。現在、多くの国々で政策として打ち出されている“社会的隔離” 措置は、⼈々に“直接的なつながり”を断絶させています。これは⼈との直接的なつながりだけでなく、⾃然とのつながりにも距離を取らせるものです。この時期は五⽉晴れの空のもと、美しい花々が咲き、⼈々が活発に活動する季節のはずです。従来通りであれば、新年度が始まって歓迎会などが開かれたり、ゴールデンウィークを利⽤して旅⾏に⾏く⼈も多かったことでしょう。それらはうららかな⽇差しのもと、出かけた先での時間を共にする⼈や⾃然との関係を楽しむ⾏為であったのかもしれません。

では、花をなぞり若葉の間を吹き抜ける爽やかな⾵を感じる⽅法は、今の私たちにないのでしょうか。現在の類を⾒ない状況において、芸術がその情緒の補完、もしくは新しい旅のかたちを⼈々に⽰すことは出来ないのでしょうか。

これらの問いを検証するため、15 ⼈の作家たちの作品が⼀堂に会しました。様々な形態を持つ芸術作品が私たちを「芸術の旅」へいざないます。そこでは私たちは「芸術の旅⾏者」として、毎年違った⾵貌を⾒せる花々、延々と連なる⼭の稜線、⾃然界に存在する幾何学的な抽象美、動物と様々な無機物が融合する不思議な⽣き物たちに出会います。この体験を通して、私たちは過去の経験を再考し、物理的に美術が鑑賞ができない今、新しい内⾯的な⽅法で美を探求する機会になれば幸いです。⼈間の創造性は無限であり、独創的な⽣活を維持するには美術が重要であること、そのようなことを再認識させてくれる展覧会になることを願っております。

川井雄仁（かわい・かずひと）

1984年茨城県笠間市⽣まれ。現在、茨城県笠間市にて制作。2007年ロンドン芸術⼤学チェルシーカレッジオブアート、ファインアート科卒業。2018年茨城県⽴笠間陶芸⼤学校研究科卒業。出展アートフェアに『アート京都』（2019年）、『Design Miami』（マイアミ、2019年）、『Art Basel』（マイアミ、2019年）。受賞歴は渋⾕アワード2018⼊選（2018年）。主な収蔵先に⾼橋コレクションなど。

⿊川徹（くろかわ・とおる）

1984年京都府⽣まれ。2007年筑波⼤学芸術専⾨学群美術主専攻彫塑コース卒業。2009年京都市⽴芸術⼤学美術研究科修⼠課程⼯芸専攻陶磁器修了。主な受賞歴は神⼾ビエンナーレ准⼤賞（2007年）、現代陶芸ビエンナーレ⻑三⼤賞（2007年）、国際陶磁器フェスティバル美濃17審

桑⽥卓郎（くわた・たくろう）

⼩島修（こじま・おさむ）

1973年東京都⽣まれ。1997年武蔵野美術⼤学短期学部専攻科陶磁コース卒業。1997-99年ファエンツァ国⽴陶芸美術学校在籍（イタリア）。現在、東京都にて制作。主な受賞歴は⽇本伝統⼯芸展新⼈賞、⼥流陶芸展T⽒賞（2016年）、⽇本陶芸展茨城県陶芸美術館賞（2017年）、現代茶陶展TOKI織部⼤賞（2018年）。主な収蔵先は東京国⽴近代美術館（東京）、茨城県陶芸美術館（茨城）など。

中尾博恵（なかお・ひろえ）

1986年福岡県⽣まれ。2011年京都市⽴芸術⼤学卒業。現在も福岡県にて制作を⾏う。主な受賞歴は雪⾈国際美術協会⽇本画選抜特別展準⼤賞（2014年）・⼤賞（2016年）、第5回続⽇本画新展推薦（2018年）。⾼野⼭恵光院（和歌⼭）に作品奉納（2018年）。

中島晴美（なかしま・はるみ）



1950年岐⾩県⽣まれ。1973年⼤阪芸術⼤学デザイン科陶芸専攻卒業。2003-14年愛知教育⼤学教授。2014-16年同⼤学特別教授。現在、国際陶芸アカデミー（I.A.C）会員、多治⾒市陶磁器意匠研究所所⻑。主な受賞歴は毎⽇ＩＤ賞特選２席受賞（1980年）、国際陶磁器展美濃’95陶芸部⾨⾦賞受賞（1995年）など。主な収蔵先は東京国⽴近代美術館（東京）、多治⾒市美濃焼ミュージアム（多治⾒、岐⾩）、Museum of Arts and Design（ニューヨーク、アメリカ）、⾦沢21世紀美術館 (⾦沢)、ヴィクトリア・アンド・アルバート美術館（ロンドン、イギリス）、ヘッチェンス陶磁器美術館（デュッセルドルフ、ドイツ）など多数。

松村淳（まつむら・じゅん）

1986年埼⽟県⽣まれ。2010年University of South Alabama卒業。2015年多治⾒市陶磁器意匠研究所修了。2018年⾦沢卯⾠⼭⼯芸⼯房修了。主な⼊賞歴は「マイヤー×信楽⼤賞⽇本陶芸の今-伝統と⾰新」⼊選（2015年）、「第3回⾦沢・世界⼯芸トリエンナーレ」⼊選（2016年）。2020年6

⽉に兵庫県陶芸美術館にて開催の「No Man’s Land -陶芸の未来、未だ⾒ぬ地平の先-」に出展予定。パラミタ美術館陶芸⼤賞展（2021年）。

1982年千葉県⽣まれ。2011年東京藝術⼤学美術研究科修了。現在、⾦沢美術⼯芸⼤学⼯芸科講師。主な受賞歴には東京藝術⼤学原⽥賞、台東区⻑奨励賞（2009年）、Via art 2010審査委員池内務賞（2010年）など。

宮部友宏（みやべ・ともひろ）

1968年岐⾩市⽣まれ。1988年国⽴⾼岡短期⼤学（現・富⼭⼤学）中退。1994年愛知県芸術⼤学美術学部デザイン・⼯芸科陶磁専攻卒業。主な受賞歴は国際陶磁器展美濃⼊選、⻑三賞陶芸展⼊選（1995年）、陶芸ビエンナーレ⼊選（1996年、1997年）、朝⽇陶芸展⼊選（1999年、2001年）、瀬⼾・藤四郎トリエンナーレ⼊選（2013年）。

森綾（もり・あや）

1989年東京⽣まれ。2014年愛知教育⼤学⼤学院教育学研究科芸術教育専攻修了。愛知教育⼤学造形⽂化コース⾮常勤講師。2014年第10回国際陶磁器展美濃審査員特別賞（ニコル・クーリッジ・ルマニエール⽒）受賞。主な収蔵先はポーラ美術館（神奈川）、ミネアポリス美術館（ミネアポリス、ミネソタ、アメリカ）など。

尹煕倉（ゆん・ひちゃん）

1963 年兵庫県⽣まれ。1988 年多摩美術⼤学⼤学院美術研究科修了。1995 年⽂化庁芸術家在外研修制度にてイギリスに 1 年間滞在制作。2010 年⽂化庁新進芸術家海外研修制度の特別研修により⼤英博物館にて調査・研究。現在は多摩美術⼤学美術学部⼯芸科教授。主な収蔵先は寺⽥コレクション（東京）、東京オペラシティアートギャラリー（東京）、茨城県陶芸美術館（茨城）、常滑市（愛知）。旅客船「guntû （ガンツウ）」、兵庫⼤学 4 号館（兵庫）、静岡県⽴静岡がんセンター（静岡）など。
