There’s noth-ing more exciting that being on the cusp of fashionable trends, especially when it concerns makeup. This fall, a lot of clas-sics are making big comebacks, so get your makeup palette ready, because it’s time to look fierce. It wouldn’t be fair to say that cat eye ever left, so let us just say that it is making its pres-ence known! Big, bold lines are ex-tremely in this season, and the more color, the better! Stick with traditional black eyeliner if you’ve got a lot going on

in terms of cloth-ing, but if you’re looking for a look that will pop, con-sider this beauti-ful eye makeup in silver or brown.Fall is the season of orange and yel-low leaves, so it makes sense that these colors would easily translate to eye shadow. No mat-ter your skin tone, there is a shade of orange that will light up your face and keep things warm, even when the weather is on the chilly side.

The fact that red lips are so hot this fall is an in-teresting turn of events, but we’ll take it! This sea-son, go for wonder-fully brilliant red shades, and opt for either extremely shiny or extremely matte. If you re-ally want to make a statement, exclude red from your ward-robe so that all eyes will immedi-ately fly to your pouty pucker. We understand that not everyone feels they can rock red, so if you prefer some-thing a little more

subdued, consider lipstick in rich wine colors.Lastly, you exude a little sparkle this fall by stock-ing up on glitter. Yes, glitter! Glit-tery eye liner and shimmery shadow can quickly and eas-ily add a glamor-ous touch to your look, regardless if you’re going out for a night on the town or to the su-permarket to pick up milk.

The weather is changing, so it’s time to learn more about the hottest fall fashions.Whereas accessories have been huge in recent years, it’s outerwear that is all the rage this year. Rather than hide your inside clothing under a frumpy, bulky jacket or coat, look into decorating your body with a curve-hugging overcoat made of soft, color-ful materials. There is no such thing as too fancy, so let the sky be the limit when it comes to your favorite de-signers and styles. If you are unsure about what colors or patterns to select, go with the classics. Patterns like plaid and checkers will never go out of style, so they are a sure bet whenever you are questioning yourself.

As big as outwear is this year, we should always remember that accessories still have their place. The key to be-ing the most fashionable is to pick your battles… er… pieces. If you are already wearing a flashy pattern in the form of your coat or jacket, then opt for a hat or scarf that is more subdued. On the other hand, if you’re wearing a coat that is of a solid color or subtle pat-tern, feel free to wear an eye-catching accessory.Believe it or not, animal prints are so hot this season, especially leopard. Whether you wear a gorgeous dress or patterned scarf, you are sure to turn heads. As with any design, don’t overdo it. Too many people are tempted to completely coordinate their

hats, scarves, dresses, coats and footwear, but this is a huge mistake. Instead, stick with one patterned piece and complement it with acces-sories or clothing in similar shades. Now that you know what is hot this fall, you are ready to stock your closest with the clothes and accessories that will make you stand out in a crowd.

Where would you like to see yourself a yr from now.

Today I have eve-rything I have ever dreamed of. The most important thing for me is that my family and I are healthy. This makes me very happy. I want

to contin-ue seeing them happy for many more years. R e g a r d -ing work, I would like to continue t e a c h i n g across the

world and hopefully move to Egypt some day.

Is your dance em-braced across the world?I’m happy because i’m a very universal dancer. I can change very much. My favorite dance ex-perience is when i have a big band behind me and hear arabic speak-

ing people around me.

Who do you Look up to?

I look up to Dina. She is a unique dancer and an international star.

Why would you give a career in law to pursue dance?

I like dance. It was very easy for me to pick it up in the beginning. It becomes more difficult because i am constant-ly trying to improve myself. I finished law school and received my diploma but i felt that this art would benefit me more. I was not a lawyer inside. I under-stood this later in life.

How do you relax out-side of work?

Real relaxation is a va-cation on an island. I enjoy the beach and the ocean. I like mov-ies and shopping. I also love spending time with my dog and

enjoying egyptian cul-ture.

What is beautiful to you?

If you feel comfortable it’s beautiful for eve-ryone. It means you’re not a complicated per-son. Its very difficult to be good enough for everyone. A beauti-ful dancer is a beauti-ful dancer. When you dance with feeling and emotion it is going to be beautiful.

What would be your best advice for dancers.People who have never danced, try it because it is beautiful. if you have stopped, come back because it is a beautful art and is also good for your health.

What don’t many peo-ple know about you?I love to cook. vegeta-bles and fish are my fa-vorite!

Alla Kushnir is a famous and acclaimed Ukrainian belly dancer, Choreographer, Festival and Performance organizer. She is characterized as a very explosive and spec-tacular dancer who has been a finalist of Ukraine’s TV-show “Ukraine’s Got Talent”, LBC Belly Dance World Championship “Hezzi Ya Nawaim” and many times in di-verse world championships of belly dance.Alla Kushnir has engaged in dance since her childhood. She studied at a specialized school of applied arts and crafts. At the be-ginning of her dance career Alla did not experience the predilection for any certain direction in dance, therefore engaged in ball and folk, and a variety of dances, and took part in various competitions of ama-teur dance.

After leaving school she entered Law Acad-emy and decided not to link her life with dance. However, during her second year Alla casually saw belly dance on TV. This program changed all her life. She decided to engage in eastern dance and at that time in Nikolayev there were no teachers. Alla began to study belly dance by herself. She visited numerous seminars in different cit-ies of Russia and Ukraine.

According to Alla, eastern dance not only reflects life, it helps to reveal the inner world of a dancer, her attitude to life.

In the East there is an ancient proverb that opens the whole essence of eastern dances: “The woman dances like she loves, and loves like she dances”

There are many health con-ditions that are considered incurable by medical experts. Many patients are left taking medicines their whole life just to keep the symptoms at bay. This can be hard when a person I forced to stay on medication with no hope of ever fully recovering from a condition. When Gerson therapy was introduced, it gave people hope. This new alternative approach to heal-ing is used by many and has helped improve people’s lives.

The Cure for Cancer?

The Gerson therapy approach uses a natural form of therapy to assist the body in healing itself. Instead of only treating the symptoms resulting from the disease, it focuses on the cause of the disease. By way of healthy foods and organic juices, the therapy removes the toxicity from the body and re-plenishes it with healthy ingredients that can help reactivate the body and make it stronger. In turn, the body can fight off the cancers and diseases much better when it has the strength.

Page 31: À La Mode Magazine Fall 2013

31

One of the most effective parts of the treatment is juicing. The patient may consume up to 13 glasses of fresh organic vegetable and fruit juices that are processed using a juicer. This is a quick way to fill the body with the necessary in-gredients to make it stronger. In addition to the juicing method, patients will also consume a fresh, organic diet. This includes salads, vegetables, fruits, and soups. Eve-rything consumed while undergoing treatment is made fresh. Supplements can be added to the therapy depending on the needs of the patient. The supplements are all natu-ral and organic. Each patient undergoes a detoxification in order to rid the body of any toxic chemicals. The Gerson Institute is located in California and is a non-profit company. It is used to help patients recover from cancers and other medical conditions that have long been considered incurable.
