The Broward Chapter takes great pride in the goals achieved in the2010-2011 year with publications, brochures and announcements:
• AFC articles included in most Broward College newsletters• Broward Chapter AFC articles in Visions magazine• Brochures and flyers to support recruitment• Announcements of AFC members’ achievements• Announcements about AFC members’ retirements

FFAACCCC –– BBrroowwaarrdd CChhaapptteerr BBooookk SScchhoollaarrsshhiippThe FACC – Broward Chapter has established a book(s) scholarship for Broward College FACC members who are taking classes at Broward College or another college or university. Five (5) FACC members will be awarded $100.00 towards their book(s) for the 2010-11 Fall term. Criteria for the scholarship:
• Current FACC – Broward Chapter member • Enrolled at Broward College or another college or university
for the Fall term • Have purchased a textbook for a Fall term course
To apply:
• Complete and submit an FACC book scholarship application which is attached to this email.
• Submit the application along with a paid receipt for the class or classes and the purchase of the textbook, or course fee indicating the book was included to:
Dr. Xiao Wang, Central Bldg 6 Room 142 ext. 6515 • Deadline for submitting applications is Thursday, September
08, 2010 at 4:00pm. • Recipients will be chosen from the pool of eligible applicants
and will be notified by email the week of October 08, 2010. For more information on this scholarship, contact your FACC Campus VP:

Congratulations Dalila Rodriguez, AFC’s Nova ScholarshipWinnerJune 15, 2011
Congratulations to AFC member Dalila Rodriguez on being selectedas the 2011 AFC/NOVA Scholar. At present Dalila coordinates theCollege Boost program at Broward College in Davie, Florida. Theprogram helps foster youth and youth aging out of foster care toobtain their high school or GED diploma and to motivate them topursue post-secondary studies.
Most recently she was selected to participate in Broward College’sinaugural President’s Leadership Academy.
Dalila also actively participate in the activities of the FloridaAssociation of Colleges.This year she was named Co-VP at CentralCampus.
Dalila will be attending the Higher Education Leadership Ed.D.program at Nova Southeastern University.
