Project Lynx
PROJECT SUMMARY:
Project Lynx is an initiative by the Supply Optimization Group (SOG) unit of Chevron Corporation's Downstream Business Unit to optimize the Oil Supply Chain for Chevron. The technical description of the project is to create a warehouse for the Chevron's downstream production data and to generate reports for business users to enable them to make quick business decisions thus optimizing returns in terms of operational excellence and financial benefits for Chevron.
The ETL tool of choice to build the Warehouse is Datastage 7.5, 8.7 and MS SQL as the database backend.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
With G&S IT Runtime Team (Datastage Developer) Created Several Datastage Mappings to populate the data into dimensions and
fact tables. Developed mappings in Datastage to load the data from various sources using different stages like Transformer, lookup, join, funnel, aggregator, copy, merge, switch.
Involved in testing of mappings and creating test cases to ensure proper functionality of production interfaces.
Involved in change of existing Datastage jobs to improve performance in production environment and ensure data integrity.
Analyzing the Requirement and Prepared Design Documents. Worked extensively in designing and developing the User Interface and
Database. Involved in Designing, Coding and Unit testing.
Involved in taking other responsibilities like sending weekly status report, time and shift details of all the offshore, taking sessions of new joinees etc.

Project Downstream Analytics(DA):
PROJECT SUMMARY:
Project DA is an initiative by the Supply Optimization Group (SOG) unit of Chevron Corporation's Downstream Business Unit to optimize the Oil Supply Chain for Chevron. The technical description of the project is to maintain a warehouse for the Chevron's downstream production data through performance tuning of the existing jobs. The aim of the Project was to enhance the capabilities of the jobs by design changes for faster and accurate results as compared to the older designs.
