The National Route 102 Oirase (Aobunaazan) Bypass project was completed.

To preserve the natural environment and eliminate traff ic congestion.

The Oirase Stream is the property of all of us and everyone has the right to enjoy it. However, there are various problems during tourist season, such as an influx of cars, traffic jams and environmental impact. The National Road 102 along the mountain Stream originally functioned as a local life road, and industrual road but it is difficult to pass large vehicles on the road that bypasses the mountain stream.

In order to solve these problems, from 2013, the "Aobunazan Bypass", which can safely bypass the Oirase stream was commercialized and maintained. At the Oirase Steamlined Utilization Council, we have been experimenting with Vehicle traffic restrictions for the purpose of "preserving the natural environment and eliminating traffic jams." Looking ahead, we will continually make strides in order to increase the number of vehicles and the time limit, therefore we ask for your understanding and cooperation.

【Choshiotaki】The best waterfall in the Oirse mainsteram, 7m high and 20m wide.It is a magnificent waterfall that splashes down at a high temperature. The water that flows down creates a mist and the sunbeams make a number of light streaks

Towaka Lake, which is the sourse of the deep valley and many waterfalls flowing from both sides create a moist environment.
