Summary: Saint Andronicus the Apostle was one of the Seventy
apos-
tles. He is mentioned by Saint Paul in Epistle to Romans. He is
known as the first bishop of Sirmium Pannonia. During XVIIIth
century Jean Bolland and his associates had written his Life, and
in this work the Life of St. Andronicus and Iunia is translated
into modern Serbian language. Along the translation necessary
comments, foreword and introduction are provided. The stress is on
his episcopacy and the historians' opinion about his alleged
Pannonian see in Sirmium. This episcopacy as the see of St.
Andronicus is mentioned later dur-ing the Middle Ages.
