The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale The Amazing Thailand Grand Sale is Thailand’s annual two-month

shopping extravaganza which offers world-class shopping, a diverse selection of quality products and services, special discounts of up to 80 per cent off regular prices, and promotional offers extended by deparment stores and retail outlets in Bangkok and the popular tourist destinations of Chiang Mai, Pattaya, Phuket, Hat Yai and Songkhia. The event is one of the biggest in Southeast Asia. About 900 business operators participate, including retail shops, restaurants, tourist attractions, tour agencies, theme parks, golf clubs, sport clubs, spas, hotels and other forms of accomodation.

The event, organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), has been held every year since 1998. The objectives of the Grand Sale are to create an opportunity for people to visit Thailand and enjoy great discounts and deals, to stimulate domestic and international travel, to create revenue for the economic development of Thailand, and to enhance its image as a tourist destination.
