    Purpose This training support package provides the instructor with a standardized lesson planfor presenting instruction for:

    Conditions: Given a designated bridge site, TM 5-5420-212-23, FM 5-277,Update 14 maintenance management and DA form 2404 or DA form5988-E, bailey bridge component parts, medium girder bridgecomponents and personnel.

    SECTION V STUDENT EVALUATION

    Testing Student will be evaluated on a written examination for the POI File number

    Requirements 12C30-C05 (Ref TSP 12C30-C06). Student must score 70% or higher to receive a

    GO. A 30 minute After Action Review will be conducted after the examination.

    NOTE: Include this information also in the Student Evaluation Plan which documents coursegraduation requirements. The using school assigns course weight to the evaluation.

    NOTE: Rapid, immediate feedback is essential to effective learning. Schedule and providefeedback on the evaluation and any information to help answer students questionsabout the test. Provide remedial training as needed.

    PRACTICAL EXERCISE SHEET NO. 1

    Title 052-197-3085 / Supervise Fixed Bridge Maintenance

    Introduction Explain to the student what is to be done during the Practical Exercise.

    Motivator Knowing how to perform a PMCS and understanding the forms utilized can speed upthe process of initiating appropriate actions to correct faults and repairs by yourmechanics. This hands-on exercise will teach you the vital knowledge and skills insupervising your section in performing PMCS. During a conflict, you will lead soldiers inpreparing the bridge equipment for assembly. The completion of the bridge reinforcesthe assault forces with a continuous flow of armored vehicles and anti-armor weapons.You as the section leader must keep your equipment in for weeks at a time. Insist thatyour squad leaders perform PMCS on their equipment. (The instructor can build on thismotivator to motivate the students).
