KARNATAKA PASTOR’S TRAINING SEMINAR

In the years past, it was said that the state of Bihar was considered to be the graveyard of missions/missionaries. This is not to be so anymore. This reputation has

gone to the state of Karnataka now. Many pastors in the rural areas are assaulted, beaten up, imprisoned and their possessions ransacked. Believers too undergo utmost trial for their faith. The good indication is that amidst persecution the churches are growing. But it is growing amidst much hardship to the missionaries, pastors and be-lievers. Sensing the need to encourage and motivate rural pastors, we have started helping small group of pastors/evangelists in some places already. Two seminars – one in Davanegere and the other one in Chitra Durga have already been conducted. We plan to organize two more in the next quarter – one in Hubli and the other in Shimoga. There are tough places and anti-Christian violence is said to be much in these areas. Please pray. If you are led of the Lord, please ear-mark your ofering specially towards conducting of pastor’s seminar in these areas. The seminar comprises of Biblical teach-ing, planning, goal-setting, evangelistic methods and more importantly conscientizing the pastors as to their legal rights and providing legal aid. It is a fact that God had blessed us with earthly resources – riches, talents or gifts.
