The  Crater  Lake  National  Park  commerative  stamp  collection  is  about  capturing  the  

essence  ofthe  infamous  lake  and  its  surroundings.    The  type  inspires  simplicity;  it’s  

san  serif  face  and  modern  body  do  not  distract  from  the  image  and  interact  with  

the  organic  surroundings.    The  “usa  42”  text  is  repeated  in  all  lower  left  corners,  

while  the  title  “Crater  Lake  National  park”  is  justified  on  the  upper  left  or  right.    

The  labels  of  each  of  the  locations  are  placed  thoughtfully  near  a  color  block  

within  the  image,  and  varies  as  to  where  each  are  placed  next  to  the  subject.
